i'm on mac os X, and i have some .wmv and .mpc files on my
computer but iTunes cannot read them...

on versiontracker.com i found a wmv -> mp3 converter but
it's only for mac os X 10.2 or 10.3 and upper, and a mpc ->
aiff converter but it's not an application, it's one of
these "fink" thingies or whatever...

...is there any solution better than learning unix,
reformating my hard drive to install mac os X 10.3 or
re-download them in mp3 through p2p (sounds like the best
one so far)?

yes, thanks...

but i already have windows media player - it's ok, except
that i can't make playlists on this and i'd rather have it
on mp3

that is the most acrobatic dog i seen since yesterday when
my kelpie busted out a kick flip.

uzim: can't you run an entire pc xp emulator inside of a
mac?

Transcoding from a lossy codec to another lossy codec is
never good. I personally would suggest to try something
other than iTunes. But if your determined to use osx/itunes
then I habe no suggestion. On Windows i'd say use
foobar2000. On linux i'd have to check. I haven't used a
mac since os 5 or 6 or whatever it was back then.

perhaps,.. burn them to a cd, play it, and record it using
the mic jack, then convert the wav to mp3
