I need my audigy 2 to span the stereo signal across all 6 speakers (instead of the front three [i'm using a 6.1 setup]), WITHOUT having to use it's WEAK cmss 3d algorithm.
Any sugestions?

I've heard of a thing called "matrix mixer." Supposedly it does just thatm but I couldn't get it to work. I have an Audigy 2 Platinum. And yes, cmss sucks, hardly puts anything to the center channel. So check out matrix mixer, if you can get it to work let me know. I've been wanting such a thing to. Check HERE.

Hm, I'm not sure if this would work for sure, but there's an "alternate" set of drivers for the Audigy 2 which you can use to set up your own mixer routings with some practice. You will want to ask on the official forum to see if anyone's done this successfully though, because it can involves a lot of software installing and uninstalling guesswork.

Alternatively, I think Radio Shack sells some hardware signal splitters where one minijack can be split into two or four or whatever, but I don't know how that would affect (weaken? distort?) the end signal.
Hope you get it working the way you like. Cheers. :D

The end goal here I think is to upmix a stereo singal to a 5.1/6.1 signal. the default drivers kind of do this, but it's a real weak 5.1. I don't trust radio shack. They try to sell me everything in the place.
