I have the last "gig" with my band before I leave Oz this
weekend, and i'm looking for some noise...... i generally
drop merzbow, venetian snares, some aphex and ae, some
locked groove stuff i have etc. etc., but if anyone has made
any noise and wouldn't mind me using it, please post a link
or url!
Cheers!

well, does this 836 KB piece pass?

if the link doesn't work, check http://www.mp3.com.au/matvey
--> track called 'MDmad idea mix')

So far I've got:

r40f - The Spider's Web (up to the
1:30 mark, when the beats drop in!)
wmw - telefon tel teleshmix 2 (is it
noise? is it glitch? is it "noise-glitch"?)
matvey - MDmad (idea mix) (definitely
more structured than pure noise, but I like......... also
using Bjork from last week, dude!)

Thank You!

just curious - i don't understand exactly what you're
working on. you just want to use noise elements... for
what? because if you want pure noise tracks, i can help
with that... but i am not even sure what you want to do...

ok..... My "band" is an improvisational electronic noise
collective ;)

There are three of us, using various bits of kit (sampler,
two drum machines, two synths, decks, two mikes, effects
unit, two MD's).........

We do no preparation of tracks, no rehearsal, just start
playing and record each session as it happens.....

I usually spend a fair bit of time on the decks, dropping in
noise from merzbow, ae, aphex, whatever..... over the top of
whatever is going on..... beats, "vocals", pads..... I just
thought it might be a good idea to use tracks created by
xltronic members, for something different....

So, if you have any "pure" noise, i'd be happy to take it!
Perfect for what we do.....

I would be very happy for you to create some "custom"
noise... proud, in fact! :)

This weekend we will have some of our crew with us........
painters, photographers, musicians.....who will be creating
while we perform.... so the idea of collaborating with
someone else is very natural for us.........

However, you'll have to get it online within 24 hrs, as i'll
be unable to download anything after then.......

Welcome to The Trikonassana Attack ;)

denniscpearce and oyvinto: I'd love to use your tracks, but
i'm in a bit of trouble... I'm only on dial up at work, and
i only have four hours left here, before i leave
(permanantly)..... so I might not be able to download them
in time, given that i'm only halfway through r40f's tracks
at the moment and i leave for the gig/ jam/ session straight
after work...... if i get time, i will grab them for sure!

yes, many times.
well 5 or something like this.
havnt been in a while. considering i have a passport i
imagine its easy enough to come and work/study there without
most of the hassles one would encounter trying to do the
same without citizenship.
how are the tuition costs?

The whole cost of tertiary education is changing at the
moment..... we have a defered payment system, where you
start repaying a portion of the cost of your degree after
you start earning a certain amount of money...... and there
is a debate on atm about introducing full fee places at
Universities for Australian students (there are places put
aside already for full-fee paying international
students)....... I got my degree (B.Sc) 10 years ago (fuck
i'm old), and i had a AUD$20000 debt, that I repayed in
about 6 years through my tax..... if you have high enough
tertiary entrance scores, you still should be able to get
into the course of your choice, with little or no up-front
fees (apart from admin costs, union fees etc.)
