A young Hungarian woman, who'd seen all the Monty Python
films, developed a passion for British humour until she went
to London. Waiting a long time for an underground train one
night, she met an Englishman who explained that the delay
was probably caused by a crash, "with dozens killed".
"It was only when the young man began laughing that I
realised the darker side of some British humour."

Least liked nationality: German!

i love germans, i have a tendencie to like what other people
dont like, next up: hippies

i loved them during the ek when holland played against them,
they were singing so cheerfully, not the stupid whistling
when the adversary played like other countries do, like
holland, but even more portugal

i once formed a theory, that people near seas are funnier
because i thought my brother and sister and me were funnier
than my inland cousins and because germans are unfunny.
i later learnt it's just a difference in taste for what's
funny.
like incredibly lame: german humour

Yes, Germans are not widely renowned for their comedy, are
they? I remember reading in that Hidden Dimension book that
if you are in Germany, you don't move the furniture, office
doors are to be closed sensibly at all times, and you don't
look at a German from a distance because it's like coming up
to him and poking your finger in his chest.

with english vs germans it's a choice between humour and
cozyness then

Well the UK has the best sense of humour apparently. And we
contributed the most to the world. Hmm

I once read an explanation of humour in a book by an
Icelandic philosopher. It was interesting. According to him
sex jokes were for example funnier in the western world
where as jokes about food were funnier in India. He said the
reason for the sex jokes being funnier in the western world
was that western people didn't have as much as the Indians
but the Indians how ever didn't have as much food as the
Western people. So in India it would be funny to say "eat
air" but westerners wouldn't find that very funny.

I bet this sounds stupid but i just can't remember the whole
thing. But it was a great book though.

Germans are often unintentionally funny especially when they
say german dirty words

well, i was in germany for a week 3 years ago and i really
didn't like their humour. the thing that was funny though
was how they found things that were NOT funny hilarious.

and that word i associate with germans

altho this is really breaking my prejudices, that my best

because hes half swiss..

well, british humour is excellent and i like our humour too.
british humour is also good because it's understood by so
many. sure, serbian humour might be good too but you haven't
got that many that understand it. it's the same thing with
the icelandic humour.
