The album I would choose is SEASON OF GLASS, recorded by
YOKO ONO, and released shortly after the murder of JOHN
LENNON. It literally makes me cry.

back in the day i used to find 'Nirvana - Unplugged in New
York' quite moving.

And definitely the 'Jeff Buckley - Grace' and 'Sketches for
my Sweetheart the Drunk'.

'Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'
is quite moving to me when im in the mood.

listed above have all made me cry at least once.

and there have been a lot of electronica that has been quite
emotional, but i cant think of any right now.

Leonard Cohen- Songs of Love and Hate... I find that really
emotional and hard hitting. And a lot of Fairport Convention
albums are pretty moving... Unhalfbricking, was just
listening to that. Denny's voice is Godessly. I hope that's
a word.

Current 93- Soft Black Stars... the arrangements lend
themselves to sorrow.

Suicide is Painless always makes me emotional...

in fact everyone should go and download the arab strap live
album 'mad for sadness' now, because it is better than any
of their studio albums and will intoxicate you with its
beautiful melancholy and drunken scottish misery.

you can't beat an album in which the second track begins:
[scottish whisper] "it was the biggest cock you'd ever
seen... / but you've got no idea where this cock has been"

Songs of Love and Hate does have some very emotionally
moving songs -- such as Dress Rehearsal Rag and Avalanche --
both heavy hitters.

I dont like to say "all time most" but one disc that moved
me alot was "In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country". I
listened to it on loop as I was reading transcriptions of
the conversations that took place between David Koresh and
the authorities during the Waco incident and I was
enthralled. I was on the case like Nancy Drew and shit.
