Sting

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-15 01:58 [#00070014]

You know, I think Sting is amazing... his music is great,
jazzy, and very beautiful... The song They Dance Alone is
excellent, and All This Time is very good... Plus he is one
of my favorite bass players... he's not the most amazing,
but he is very effective... I find when I listen to his
music, I'm quite often humming the bass lines...

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER should have split
the Police up.

What was that album he did? 'Dancing Naked With Fat Cocked
Turtles'...? Jeez

Sting is an egotistical twat who has not wrote a decent song
in twenty years. His jazz is preteeentious, watered down
bullshit. Squarepusher is loads more interesting.

blah, I like it... so kiss my ass...

:)

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-15 03:10 [#00070037]

and I said it's jazzy, not jazz... there's a difference, and
the difference is that his music is not pure jazz, but does
sound jazzy sometimes... kinda like Steely Dan...

ascdi on 2002-01-15 06:41 [#00070097]

you just mentioned steely dan. i think that means you
automatically lose the argument.

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-15 07:04 [#00070103]

steely dan's pretty good sometimes actually. top choices:
-black cow
-do it again (cool cheesy synth solo)
-FM
-deacon blues

but sting as a solo artist is totally wack, ugh

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2002-01-15 22:10 [#00070379]

Steely Dan were awesome...

sure, Steely Dan might have been really poppy, but it's
excellent music... just listen to songs like Your Gold Teeth
II, Deacon Blues (Wayne Shorter plays on that one if I
remember right) Gaucho, Babylon Sister... it's very jazzy,
and very cool...

when i was younger i thought he really could sting me.

i used to hide behind the sofa during top of the popular
charts televisual program.

I'm still a little worried when i see him.

p.s
i was savaged by a bumble bee as a child.

Howbout when Sting was slammed on tacks by Abyss, sick!
Wait, wrong Sting,,,I think.

The two Stings should trade places for a little while and
see if anyone notices.
