WARP RECORDS RELEASE LANDMARK DVD COLLECTION
15 YEARS OF WARP VIDEOS COMPILED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Warp Records is set to release Warp Vision (The Videos 1989
 2004) on
September 21, 2004. These videos showcase Warp Records as
the preeminent
label of its kind; a label with a brilliant fifteen-year
history of merging
experimental sound and vision. With the exception of the
landmark Aphex
Twin videos by Chris Cunningham and the video for
Autechre¹s Gantz Graf, the
bulk of these have never been commercially released. Warp
Vision is an
amazing collection, chock-full of rarities from great
talents such as Plaid,
Broadcast, Jamie Lidell, LFO and more.

I wonder why i have never seen most of these videos?
Possibly because they are shit?

Provided it isn't too expensive there are 5 or 6 videos I
have definitely seen that I would happily pay £18 for.

whatever happened with the 'rubber johnny' thing... i saw a
short bit for it on the chris cunningham video set, but i
know nothing more of it.

It is apparently getting expanded into a short film, not a
video for the drukqs track but something based around a
deformed child looked after by rednecks. There was a topic
about it the other day.

Had a chance to watch this nostalgic
DVD of old and new(er) videos and i
have to say that i'm still impressed
with the sheer amount of variety
featured on here.. it's a prime snapshot
of the labels past, present and future
in a visual perspective. Top-notch...

Blimey, i hadn't a clue about this. I will be buying, that's
fo' sho.

Re: rubber jonny... i think the short film should be out in
late 2004 if my memory serves correctly (don't quote me
though).

this seems nice enough but i can't help feeling this is a
money making exercise rather than a demand of a product.
some of those old videos although may bring back nice
memories of the past but they aren't exactly chris
cunningham standard.

Of course it's about making money..
a label needs to make money in order
to produce their next product.

Sorry, I was just being rude for the sake of it, I wasn't
actually expressing an opinion I'd formed by thinking in
depth about the relative merits of selling old pop videos.
sorry, I mean art works.

haha, haha, haha. The song of the insane.

Yes, having reconsidered my viewpoint on this matter I would
not pay more than £15 for such an item. Really speaking
£12 is a more realistic price.

Macho Man v. The Ultimate Warrior.

they should lash in the 3 hour Chirs clark vs Warp DJ's mix.
Now that was cool. anyone got this by the way, it ain't at
warp anymore.
