If you haven't heard any B12....then shame on you. They are without a doubt my favorite Techno group (and I mean strictly Techno....no hybrid....no cross genres....just Techno).
Anyway, what I wanted to ask is does anyone have ANY recent information about Steve Rutter or Michael Golding? I mean...they completely went AWOL. Someone must know something. They took the Detroit Techno sound and upped it big time IMO. How could they just dissapear....after having such a unique and influential sound!? :[ I've been on a B12 craze the last couple of days and have been listening to all of their material again. It's just hard to accept they threw the towel in. So, if anyone can help me out here it would be much obliged, thx!
Oh and...check out their discography here.

the good ol b12! i picked something up about them having a finished album on the shelf waiting to be released. problem was(is) that there isnt a label wanting...etc. well, there was a label, de:focus (with releases from CiM, lackluster, esem...). and ehm...well, there was a label, if you catch my drift.
that was a couple of years ago, so i'm afraid this is going to be an album like that unreleased balil album.
eric hard jams is very much into b12, so perhaps he knows more

Interesting....I never knew de:focus was going to put out some B12 material. That would be a fine label for them, since I always felt like de:focus was similar to A.R.T.
Weltact: I hear ya on TBD. I do like TBD more than B12, problem is though, they're not strictly Techno like B12 is. They were/are definitely more breakbeat oriented.

I was listening to a live perfomance of B12 at Sven Väths first Cocoon in Frankfurt (Germany). They played on the chill out floor some of the moody tunes from the time tourist album and unreleased material ... 8)

I would like to have the whole cocoon party as video / audio!
After the B12 finished their PA, Alter Ego (aka Jörn Elling Wuttke and Roman Flügel) made a live performance on the chillout floor. Mostly tracks from the 'Decoding The Hacker Myth' album. The crowd was just chilling and then they played some Acid Jesus stompin techno tunes. The people gone wild and and danced - after some moments we looked all at each other - a guy said: He we are on the chill out floor! Could we dance here? Even Jörn and Roman had to laught about this!
Wow what a party ...
