former snares bashing.

reminds me a lot of Autechre's LP5
again, the rhythms are of the highest quality but i'm not
really into the melodies. that said, "bezcitny" and
"chlorophyll" i do like.

this is the vsnares album that has opened up an appreciation
for his work in me. something about this album is so
classic. it reminds me of icbyd and rdj album at times,
ultravisitor at others, but its definitely fresh and new. i
LOVE the melodic content of the pieces, and i think its a
nice new angle on what he does. ive heard alot of "hardcore"
snares fans talk smack on this album, but i think its the
best thing hes done so far, with witboas coming in second.

i agree - i think it's his best work to date

No melodies and no coherent structure.

Listen to µ-Ziq. He'll show you the way!

im not gonna talk smack on paradinas, but...
i wouldn't say he takes many risks as an artist.
it's like each album is a subtle variation on the last.
not that you have to do something drastic each time around,
but it does make for a more compelling listen (a la
autechre, twin)

ok, i will admit royal astronomy was pretty out of nowhere
(i also thoguht it was sub-par), but you gotta admit that
bilious paths sounds like a slightly more ambient
continuation of lunatic harness (which is fine with me, i
loved harness & its eps)

calming down needed?

venetian snares: great guy that makes good music, well at
least for me, but I guess we all agree with him being a nice
pal

mike paradinas: the same, or better if you want

which is the problem then?

music makers of the last 15 years

tango n vectif
bluff limbo
in pine effect
lunatic harness

all genious!

haven't got round to this one yet but judging by the samples
it looks to be pretty interesting, albeit in the WITBOAS
style which isn't really my thing.

I thought Stupid Chocolate Wheelchair was a very close
second to Doll Doll Doll as his best/most enjoyable album.

You didn't have to do that.

I just see a correlation between those who seem to justify
disliking Snares by banging on about µ-Ziq... Whatever.
