i would have discussed it in the proper thread but i got
this:

Warning: mysql_query(): 3 is not a valid MySQL-Link resource
in /home/web/xltronic.com/html/mb/topic.php3 on line 64
Query failed (DR2) [INSERT INTO topic (name, creator,
crdate, lastdate, creator_id, closed, release_id) VALUES
('Autechre - Garbage [WAP58CD]', 'Gwely Mernans', now(),
now(), 3515, 'N', 123)]

Anyways, i just took a nap and listened to the whole thing
front to back.. im astonished, this is such a good ep.
if you havent heard it in a while, i suggest listening again
soon.

i know! dammit, aphex has always been my fav artist but
autechre is creeping up quickly, shit its hard for me to say
this, i think autechre might be better, seeing their music
progress and morph so much.. aphex has his strong points too
tho... i dont know im confused.. i need to take a cold
shower... while listening to peel sessions 1.. NO NO!!
yesss...

hehe, I would have to concur, Autechre are at least more
consistant than Aphex. I mean everything they put out kicks
ass, there are no duds.

I don't feel I have the attention span for Autechre any more
- Which is a shame..

I used to listen to them at least 5 times a day when I was
younger - Used to have the same effect on me every time -
Really moving.

One of their mates from Sheffield gave me the Garbage EP and
Why R we Y We R (or however it's spelt!) on vinyl after I
sold him an Ensoniq sampler - Bloody nice bloke!

Could be true. If I'm drunk, I don't have the attention
that Autechre requires.

I think Aphex Twin is a great musician, and has released
some amazingly beautiful songs... but damn, some of his
earlier stuff is just so damn inconsistent... I bought 5 eps
of his on the weekend, each fairly old, and while there is
some nice stuff on them, it's mostly pretty dull... I don't
know, I just find his older music a bit cheesy and shit...
the drum patterens seem way too repetitive and annoying,
etc... he definitely has a great melodic sense, and his
newer stuff is real good... Drukqs, while I haven't listened
to it in a while, is definitely great... Come to Daddy,
Windowlicker, etc...

Autechre I just find so much more interesting... Garbage is
kinda dull though, imo... :)
