"Whenever I give myself a workover, I use the Magic
Bondage to blindfold myself and bind my own hands," Shukan
Jitsuwa quotes a 36-year-old housewife's post on an ms
website as saying. "I've never taken part in S&M, but when
I'm tied up and being violated by the adult toy, the thrill
becomes twice as intense."

japan = modern!

There is something about japan I dislike.... It is the
commercialized mellowness. It reminds me of mentally
undeveloped morons. Whole civilization seems to me as a
gramatial error or Engrish. I mean, selling panties? Only
asians can think of something so stupid and erroneous. I
don't think I would be capable of living there. It is
voices people make in a crowd that sickens me... I cannot
stand it here either! I usually have a set of ear-plugs in
my pocket. English speaking crowds annoy me. It sounds
like a bunch of geese speaking from their throats. When I
get surrounded by asians talking fast at high pitch tones,
never stopping to breathe air I get nervous and feel like
yelling "SHUT THE FUCKING HELL UP". I hope nobody gets
offended, but I am just expressing my deepest feelings.

Anime annoys me too. They all look like replicated
characters. Everything is like a tamagotchi.

I hate fake and plastic smiles..... Just like the one on my
avatar.

A friend of mine, when his girlfriend was in bed asleep, he
would put a pair of her panties on his head (ideally if they
were smudged) and would proceed to knock one out. To my
knowledge there is no Japanese in his family lineage.

Then, what is up with people being so mechanical-like
over-there ? I understand hard work, but to have a system
riding you from a childhood really is a tyranny. It is
true.. when you are constantly applying a pressure to a
thing, the thing breaks.... Americans are also putting
their fingers in everything and it ain't clean buisiness. I
did get the info from few Japanese people that even though
their tech. standards are high, there are only a few people
who aren't the end users of moron-proof technology. People
just don't care about knowing how to use computers.... many
are computer illiterate, although they do have an access to
computers....if not better than the garbage that is on my
desk.

Revolution? It does not stand a chance amoung the idiotic
pikachus and americans.

Tyrannic system embeded within the society that tells you
who you are and who you will be, amoung the millions of
people that look exactly like you. System that is not
offering a freedom for self-exploration. System that
functions... system that treats people like heard....
system that must have a negative feedback. Panties and
writing things in blood are a start.

The 40-year-old male teacher handed the boy a box-cutter and
paper and told him to write an apology in blood.

[...]

The incident comes on the heels of an attack in which an
11-year-old girl killed a classmate by slashing her throat
with a box cutter, also in southern Japan.

a system that tells you who you are and who you will be =
society.

No.. Not always. I am talking about function of society.
For example word "typing" does not equal "hand". If
individual has a freedom to say no to society's norms it
doesnt mean that he/she has a freedom to escape the function
of society.... It is like trying to escape the law on
gravity wile on Earth. But yeah, one can stand up for
her/himself. Unfourtenately such things are covered up with
a speed of light with things such as pikachu. For example,
I might say Bush is an ape, and soon enough, out of nowhere
an ape will appear with a name Bonzi Buddy (or something
alike), putting shit in people's eyes.... so next time you
say Bush is an ape, people will think about bonzi buddy and
laugh at you....

Anyway.... I don't want to get deeper into that shit... I
said what I had to. It is your responsibility to understand
it the way I intended it to be understood.

very fast... I have a loads of things to do today. I must
go.

Thanks for understanding.

you can't say no to societys norms, 'cause there exists more
than one society. by leaving one society, you join another.
you can never step outside of society, and society is what
tells you who you are.

people who really feel happy-kawaii-colorful and all though.
just not all the time.

you could also say Monoid is "fake".
who knows.

it's kinda hard to differenciate what is "fake" and what is
"genuine" - or if anything ever is totally genuine or fake.

Maybe I was a bit overreacting. I didn't say I don't like
funny things but all this overexposure of this
kawai-cuteness is a pretty oppressive sign of modern
globalisation. There are many such signs but this fad has
gone a bit too far... I just can't escape it. It is
everywhere. It is like the multinational corporations step
on you with a gigantic robot foot that has a smiley drawn
under it. You missed my point: I'm not
pro-depression/anti-happiness. I like being happy. I just
don't like being maimed like that. I don't have much against
people that are overly infatuated with the japanese culture
and all that. But I just get pissed when the see no fault in
the japanese. When they say how great it is there. It is not
great there. People there are fucked over and over again by
their parents their teachers and their bosses. Bullying
there has one of the highest rates in the world. People
choose to ignore all that and focus on the cuteness.
Escapism takes you away from your problems but it diverts
you from themas well. I'm afraid that in that way you just
don't see the situation as it is. I'm also afraid that there
is nothing we can do about it. We are too deep in it. Even
music is diverting us. It is a pacifier. We are doomed.
Anyway like I said before the whole issue is aesthetical.
I've just been too exposed to kawai.

"society is what tells you who you are. "

BULLSHIT!
No wonder why so many people had false assumptions about me
earlier on this board.... heh... I am an evil slav who
wants to conquer the world, make everyone a communist and
make philosophers kings while sitting on a top of a crap
hill....

If society was telling me who I am, I would be on a street
begging for either a shelter or food. Mercy of mob is
rootless. So far I was a stalker, a murderer, suffering from
bipolar depression, and all kinds of things polititians
needed....Once you agree with the mob, you are done
forever!

"society is what tells you who you are" is the most nazistic
thing I read on this board. There are people who need to be
told who they are....unfourtenately... I am not one of
them.

Remember, society voted for Bush too.

offline 3052 on 2004-06-22 10:33 [#01251116]

But yes, I cannot escape the society while I do not have to
be a part of it. I can simply mind my own business, have no
friends (who can do nothing but direct me in a wrong way)
just like now.... It is hard, but would I be a slave to
someone who would put me to live on a street tomorrow?

I don't have much of a choice.

Doomed Puppy > oh yes, i see the point now... i agree with
you.

it remembers me of this animation that was posted a
while ago on the board (although it (the animation) is
exagerating, of course).

i'm studying japanese in university, and of course there are
always "otakus" in the class who just dream about living in
japan and idealize it, some would do anything to go to
japan... i know someone who went there, tried to get some
work and all, was hosted by families he knew there etc, but
life is so expensive in japan at the end he was like a hobo,
sleeping on the banks outside and all. he still idealizes it
and wants to go back there again though.

i guess it makes people feel better, to believe that there
would be a truly wonderful place in the world...

I watched and enjoyed some anime when I was really little,
but do not like it now. I passed through a phase years ago
when I was fascinated with parts of japanese culture,
learned a little of the script, etc. For those two reasons
I on occasionally turn my attention to it. I post topic
which I find amusing, but are usually disparaging, because
the japan fetish taking over pockets of the world seems
often negligent of realism (also, like most people, I am
bothered by hype). blargh I just woke up.

The two articles posted articles are worthy of attention by
most standards here, which is why the thread was started
(not some ridiculous intention to inculcate). I found them
both on the same site (bored, went to jwz.livejournal.com),
near eachother (I was not amassing articles for some great
bash of gayness).

Where was my generalization? The statement of reaction to
pressure is a fact. The statement that japan is deranged by
most standards is a fact.

I think this messageboard has got one of the biggest
fascinations for Japan I've ever seen on a messageboard
(that isn't really related to Japan or Japanese culture).
I'm not really complaining (I find the stuff people post

But I also know that if I ever go to Japan I'll have to work
hard and really fight (like uzim said his friend had to do).
