...answer these following questions:
1) some dodgy geezer invites you into his timemachine : which year in music history would you want to revisit and why?
2)Name 3 records from your country that you defenitely have to play to yer fellow xltronicers. Why are they worth talking about?
3)If you'd do a mix in a xltronic meeting party, which 10 tracks would defenitely be on there?
4)What is your current top 5?
5)What 10 albums will you always buy again, regardless of whatever new recording format the music industry comes up with?
thank you

1 If I could only visit one, it would be 1966. The years preceding it, rock was blossoming, but I think this is the first year where a lot of great artists really hit their creative potential. A lot of high points, and it wasn't quite the silly Summer of Love yet. Somehow, pictures always look leaner and meaner when they're dated '66. I'd like to get my kicks down that route.
2 Sloan- One Chord to Another- these guys are the modern day Scruffs, Badfinger and Big Star all rolled into one. My favorite rock group going today.
Blue Rodeo-Casino- I don't know how many people would enjoy pansy country-tinged pop, but these guys are criminally underrated. They're not edgy enough or underground enough to get recognized for their superior songwriting.
Leonard Cohen- Songs of Love and Hate- as extreme as the title implies. His son is very charming, I listened to an interview of his the other day. Must check him out.
3 Freescha- Baby Maker Autechre- Pen Expers Differnet- Settled The Beatles- Tomorrow Never Knows The Lucksmiths- Myopic Friends Al Kooper- Toe Hold o9- Terminal Orange The Aluminum Group- Tiny Decision Harry Nilsson- The Most Beautiful World in the World The Vaselines- You Think You're a Man
4 Harry Nilsson- Son of Schmilsson Freeform- Pattern Tub The Band- The Band Lambchop- Is a Woman Differnet- In Advance of the Broken Sound
5 Al Kooper- I Stand Alone The Smiths- The Queen is Dead Autechre- Chiastic Slide The Beatles- The Beatles The Soft Boys- Underwater Moonlight Frank Zappa- Uncle Meat Syd Barrett- The Madcap Laughs Bob Dylan- Bringing it All Back Home Freescha- What's Come Inside of You? Joy Division- Unknown Pleasures

1) I'd bring a synth and some batteries and shit back to year 1000 and I'd make todays music then and all the shit we get today would be more innovative.
2) Side Brok - Høge Brelle. Norwegian hip-hop in dialect.. worth it even if you don't get it.
Kim Hiortøy - Hei. Electronic stuff.. nice! Jaga Jazzist - A Livingroom hush. Jazz + electronica, man!
3) Definately something from Zeus, Scheme88, Horsefactory, Archrival, Plaidzebra and all the others that I enjoy, but whose names aren't currently stored in my too small memory.
4) RJD2 - Since we last spoke Blackalicious - Nia Wu-Tang - 36 chambers Kim Hiortøy - Melke Prefuse 73 - OWE
5) I don't need duplicates.
