time falls and stands with events; no events, no time and
vice versa. and communication is a complicated series of
events. simple, isnt it?

you can graph it, monoid. every human interaction can be
understood as a function relating time (x-axis) to
communication. (y-axis)

one can determine the amount of communication (or perhaps
the quality of that communication if you think about it that
way) by measuring the area under the curve formed by the
function. (of course, you could also take the integral of
the function over the interval x1-->x2, where x1 is the
beginning of the interaction and x2 is the end.)

you'll see that more time spent with someone does not
necessarily equate to more, or better, communication.

I remember when i couldn't remember whether we watched
reality tv or reality tv watched us when i was tripping my
tits off on shrooms... it seemed so important at the time
and so silly in the morning.

sometimes i think we are encroaching on revolutionary
thought processes when we are tripping...we are leaving the
realm of language and entering the realm of pure thought,
where it is difficult to put things in words.

i usually go wash my face or take a shower at that point.

All language is manipulation. Action at a distance, like
gravity. Maybe not.
