hia, my new album is finally done and up on aud.stim

the album has been quite a job for me, it's 67min long with
20 tracks.

i wish to get some comments on this one =D and yeah i know,
67min is not easy to just "check out" but if your in the
mood for something new please do!

the main genre of the album is drill n bass but it kinda
swings out on different styles at different parts of the
album, theres allways allot of melodys wich is a good thing
i asume.

Awt - Winter and Spring

while ur at it have a look at aud.stim's new look, i like
it!

good day!

for those who've not yet downloaded this, you probably
should. very nice music here.

i especially enjoyed the first four tracks, defeating the
guardian, and says action. but really, the whole thing was
just great. i'm impressed!

I have to say that AWT gave us some tracks to put up on
polychromatic records, although they we're good we had to
turn it down due to it being way to hardcore for us. I still
need to listen to the entire thing in order, which i might
do tonight while i work out to get pumped up :)

I finally listened to it. The melodies we're great
especially on some of the quieter tracks. And like I said
before, its like Squarepusher meets Plaid. Good work,
aud-stim will be proud :)

awt: been listening to this the last two days. it's a great
album, looking forward to more of your releases.

pretty solid.

im glad you like it!

im using fl studio +loads of vst plugins, mostly free ones
(theres allots of great ones on the net), wavelab for
recording and editing waves (i work allot with wave files
aswell)

ehm.. got a midi keyboard/controller wich is great to
control fx, synths and i acctually use it to play melodys
sometimes =D

got a small mixer and a cheap condenser mic, i record allot
of sounds that i use in my tracks, for example i recorded
crystal and glass bowls with different amount of water in to
make the pretty soft background melody of Placing blocks in
the globe.. recording is allways funny and a great way to
make music more personal.

that's about it.. but im pretty open minded about everthing,
only reason that i havnt got into more different programs is
that there are so many and im also short on cash.

good day, thanks for listening

yeh good stuff here.
i would say i mostly like your synth sounds and melodies. a
lot of the beats don't really sound that new or original to
me even though the programming/sequencing is very good, but
i think that your colorful melodic parts make up for it. it
is a mood that reminds me of global goon. like kinda happy
silly sometimes. deffinitely an aphex twin vibe goin on.
its a good release.

thanks =D.. i was afraid at first that people would enjoy my
drum programming much more then they would like my melodys
and synth sounds.. but i guess i was wrong and that's
great!

thanks for listening

tracks... Anyway, that's true there is nothing really
original in it but it sounds good! :)

ah! I forgot to reply earlier.. I can't remember exactly,
but I think I was thinking of the album as an entirety, and
not about each track.. it was really good as an entirey, I
think...

im fine with that!, im cool not being original right now =D
it's my first release so i have plenty of time to develope
my ways of music making, and probably i will get more
original by time, i will take this thoughts with me to
whatever project ill do next

thanks for listening

I begun listening to it again, and after a quick refreshment
of my memory, I am pretty sure that this was the one I
thought of as being good as an entirety.. I'd definately buy
it if it was in the store!

thanks =D both of you, i gotta say that all these nice
comments i got really made me happy, i usually think of my
own music as shit just after i finished it..
but after getting allot of really nice comments here i
really feel like making this album wasnt a waste of time,
and it's very nice to know that i didnt waste anyones time
when asking them to check it.

really cheering comments! thanks

making music never is a waste of time, its fun, keeps you
occupied and makes you happy - well at least it is for me

anyway, i havent listened yet because ive gotta download
winrar first

offline _awt_ from Malmö (Sweden) on 2004-06-21 05:58 [#01249483]

youre right it's fun, but im sure you know the depressive
feeling that comes around sometimes after you finished a
track or a album/project, that irritating feeling of that
you where living in the fog while making the album/track,
and once you get out of the fog you realise the music is
crap, i get that feeling sometimes..

ohu gotta dl winrar =/ well, at least it's for free =D
