it's so fucking good!! get off this board right now and go
buy it!!

the beats are all amazing, mixmaster mike steps it up yet
keeps it old school.

and the album ends with a drill beat!

all the previous threads have kind of concluded it's pretty
bad.

then again, my brother, who is completely into hip-hop and
has been since the late eighties, really likes it.

I don't know. I really don't know.

check it out for yourself, i might just like it because i'm
obsessed with the beastie boys, but then again maybe it's
just a really good album.

i think it's the most straight up hip hop album they've put
out since "Paul's Boutique". It doesn't have the non
hip-hopical downfalls of the other albums (i.e. the some
what anthem-y feel of "Licensed to Ill", the fusion jazz
bits on "Check Your Head"/"Ill Communication", or the spacey
weirdness of "Hello Nasty"). Don't get me wrong, I love
each of their albums but this one is definately straight up
hip hop.

downfalls? the instrumental stuff is my favorite from those
two albums!

i know i know, that came out wrong, not downfall as much as
straying from pure hip hop.

i love those songs too

I'm with ya, when I heard it I was suprised people here were
slating it... tight beats tight rhymes, old skool but kind
of modern electronic beats as well... MMM supplies some
"def" scratching as well.
