This piece of music is just sheer marvellousness. Six or seven of YMO's pieces mixed into the most enjoyable ten minutes or so I've musically had in a bit. You can hear traces of Ryuichi Sakamoto's later stuff here and there too, which can only be good. If you are a fan of 8-bit music, or Japanese culture, or general cheese, or good pop music, check this release out. I'm sharing it on soulseek - there is a space between the i and the I in my username there. |

OH MY GOSH!!! This sounds sooo cool *goes into stereotypical valleygirl mode* Seriously though, I really like the YMO brand of techno-pop... another pleasant aberration of theirs is the cover of "Stand Up" that will never leave me. One of my favorites is "Rydeen" though... I bet that's in there, eh? ;) |
