I can't do it. Cant think well enough. I basically wear my sober hat when I am producing, and then use my stoner/engineer hat to listen to it afterwards.
Either way, we're all Devo.

VST spans many different sequencing programs, so they can be used with alot of software.
Fruity Plugins are generally only used in fruity unless you're using it with another app via rewire.

If you mean weither or not to use the vst versions of the native fruityplugins, they're more intended to be used in another app. So I would stick with the non-vst versions of those plugins. probably will save you some processing load.

Fucking about in Traktor when high is very rewarding. I'm doing it now. But trying to write tunes is like trying to sign your name with a crayon.

Hang on are the standard FL plugins (eg the parametric EQ plugin, the fruity reverb etc) NOT VST?
I thought they were!
I use those a lot, they're usually fairly high quality.

I try to make stuff when I am stoned, at the time it is the best music ever, but the next day it is possibly the worst.

when you are high, anything sounds good. except pop music, it seems to get worse with chemicals.
i like working on beats and the basic song structure when i'm stoned. any serious work should be done sober. otherwise i run into mathematical errors, like samples having inconsistent sound qualities, legnths, etc.
