Logical constants in reality

Look, there are just 2 logical constants in reality, the
beginning and the END (DEATH). Everything in between doesnt
reall matter.....because else is shaped from our experience
in how we perceived our realilty, and therefore NOT REAL.

Here is a test, think of a random word, and repeat it
severall times, it loses it meaning and starts sounding
rediciouls.

If you pause after saying the word and briefly "re-picture"
it in your mind, it keeps its meaning. It only loses it and
sounds silly if you go through the motions of making your
voice box replicate the sounds of the word, without actually
thinking about it.

mmyes but one can also argue that because birth and death
(or DEATH, as you like to call it, for some reason) are
constant, they are incredibly uninteresting, and the
complete fantasy that fits between those two is actually a
lot more engaging and thus does matter.

No it does not because you KNOW you are going to die. And
this is the burden you have to carry as HUMAN. YOUR
Conscious, and your sublime role in this tragedy....

so fucking what?

I'm going to die - yes. so why should that worry me or stop
me?

if I was immortal, would everything suddenly have a Meaning?
meaning only exists in your own head anyway, you create it
yourself.

I thought about this some more on my last cough syrup
thread, which was a delightful and sensual expierence..

the constants are given.

they are inevitable and quite uninteresting.

As your cough syrup trips are merely "filler" between life
and death, do they, and anything revealed to you during
them, matter?

more importantly, if you really believe what you are saying,
why aren't you dead?

i cant kill my self that would be against the rules of the
game, and would bring the time space continuum in great
DANGER, yo !

Assuming Life and Death are the ONLY 2 real constant in
reality, a suicide would render these 2 constants USELESS,
and because GOD, or IGNU, like i like to call him, didnt
create life and DEATH without a purpose, because we are part
of a bigger plan.....

seeing as you like logic so much, it would be a lot more
logical for you to prove to me why God does exist,
not the other way round.

i think you forgot a third logical constant. problem is, i
havent figured out the concept yet, but it is something in
the vain of causality, progression or evolution. think about
it; during a lifetime man achieves certain things which
extend his own life. things which are based on things
achieved by men before him, which in turn are achieved by
men before them and so forth. since the beginning of time
humanity has achieved a lot of things. some good, some bad.
the results can undeniably be seen around you. a couple of
hundred years ago a certain guy named mozart created a
couple of tunes, for instance, which till this day still
influence a lot of people. same holds for shakespeare,
einstein, etc. you name it. probably even your grandmother.
the point is: everything inbetween does matter. if it's not
on a personal scale, it's on a the bigger scale. in that
case humanity can be seen to benefit of your inbetween; your
achievements.
so there: throw your nihilistic attitude in a tree and use
others' achievements to your benefit and let others benefit
of yours.

holy shit, you're right.

I read all of your posts over and over, and its true, they
are rediciouls!!!!

that's too abstract for me. I do things in my life because
either I really want to or it's just less of a hassle if I
do them.

not because I want to work for "humanity's achievements" or
with the idea that maybe someone after me will be inspired -
that means very little to me.

And for this I thank God; for all have doubts; many deny;
but doubts or denials, few along with them, have intuitions.
Doubts of all things earthly, and intuitions of some things
heavenly; this combination makes neither believer nor
infidel, but makes a man who regards them both with equal
eye.

that "humanity's achievements" bit was more intented in the
context of "if you cant find anything in it for yourself, do
it for someone else".

@zeus: thanks for the sarcasm :P

'beginnings' and 'endings' are psychological contraints
human's have invented to be able to comprehend the slice of
'consciousness' at hand. what exactly is it that comes to an
end? life? life is just a special case scenario of a complex
arrangement of physical properties. the arrangement changes,
but not the existence of the things that make it up. there
are no beginnings or endings, just a dynamic, constantly
changing system of 'things'.

that's one theory, at least.
