i cant sleep when theres work to be done. except i never do
the work, i just stay online and wallow in self pity and use
getting work done as an excuse to fight off sleep.

My sleep patterns swing between sleeping about 4 hours a
night to barely getting out of bed before i'm back in it. A
bit of variety does me no harm.

take melatonin...but only when you want to help yourself
sleep better. DO NOT take melatonin regularly...it can
throw off your sleep pattern.

good times for melatonin: jet lag, short-term insomnia, or
when you just want to have a good sleep. WARNING: deep
sleep...sometimes difficult to get up the next day, but you
will feel refreshed for sure.

oh, and melatonin is pretty safe as far as anyone can tell.
it's the same chemical your body creates to make you drowsy.

oh, i can't stand that feeling... i'm not sure what the
answer is though, because nothing works for me when it
happens. i've been told you're just supposed to lie there
and rest, but i find this to be frustrating. try reading a
book or listen to some familiar music.

have you tried:

listening to skink - week5.mp3?

jerking off?

counting sheep?

having a bowl of cereal (no sugar)?

thinking about nothingness?

laying in bed and closing your eyes, in your pajamas all
tucked with the lights off?
