I was trying out the kernel streaming option in
Foobar2000 and to my ears it sounds better - fuller and
clearer than winamp. Maybe I'm just fooling myself. Well
anyhoo.

The audio data goes directly to the kernel layer where your
audio drivers live, instead of getting resampled by DirectX.
