smooth and creamier there.

Yup, Guinness outside Ireland is not worth talking about.

zeus - where did you go? what did you like?

i've grown to find the city very boring... maybe it'll
change when i move up to live there for college next year..
but right now i can't wait to go interrailing across europe
and see other lands instead of boring old ireland

I thought it was great. The people are very friendly... very
casual. Temple Bar is cool, and Grafton street... just
basically the whole vibes there.

oh, and irish chicks are hot. alot hotter then I expected.

I also went to the national concert hall, and listened to
the symphony orchestra play... very nice

the green was cool. nice and relaxing... its cool that its
there in the middle of the city.

so you are irish? live there all your life?

yep i am. I know what you mean with the friendliness we are
renowned for it but since our economic boom there's been a
lot of racism and ignorance brewing which is a pity..

the only down-side to irish chicks is that not many of them
are tanned :) and when they are it's that terrible fake tan
stuff. awful. :) the NCH is a great place i love the look of
it - what did you see being performed?

i see you have a picture of trinity too, hopefully i'll be
studying CSLL there next year if my exams (which
i'm in the middle of right now) go well.

Would you ever consider living here? I assume being from
boston you are of irish descent?

it was a one hour tuesday afternoon radio broadcast...
played some bizet, saint-saenz, and berlioz. there was a
young solo cellist who was amazing.

trinity is a very nice campus! (5 min walk from temple bar
;)

yeah, I could totally live there.... but Im not from boston.
I just go there for college. Although I do have some irish
in me... not enough to call myself irish though... (im a
mutt)

ah very nice! trinity campus is great but unfortunatly the
college has a reputation comparable to that of harvard so
the majority of the students and faculty there have massive
superiority complexes and turn their noses up at people from
other colleges.

as for living in dublin, yes, nice city and all but how much
of the nightlife did you experience/witness? it can get very
very ugly at night in the better parts of town. you don't
even think about venturing into the worse parts at night..
there's been a huge surge in unprovoked attacks which is
shitty and it's one reason i'm not sure whether i'll live
here when i grow up or emigrate to germany or canada.

perhaps the phonomenon of unprovoked attacks isn't isolated
to ireland - and anyways it is significantly nicer to live
in a country where not even the cops have guns....

One downside is that Dublin is insanely expensive compared
to the rest of the country though, which is merely crazily
expensive.

I think we overtook Norway and Sweden as the most expensive
place in Europe lately :/

Galway = much nicer guiness, much cheaper.

The nicest Guinness is to be found in country pubs that are
frequented by two old men and half a dog, miles from
anywhere. FACT.

That, my friend, is fabulously true. Rural, deserted
ireland... one pub per 50 miles, amazing scenery.
