I checked it out. Its cool. Were you influenced by afx back
then?

I have some old tracks here. Post some more of
yours. :)

Brown Break

why the name?

because there's a sample of James Brown in there, and
there's a slowed down DnB break in there

Right on. I used to dig NiN obsessively. Not as much
anymore, but still got respect for Reznor

yeh, i used to be really heavily into NIN stuff, but i've
grown to like Aphex and autechre more.

i'm a bit unsure of the new material that's coming soon
though - i think it could be slightly more commercial :(

but the old stuff is still great.

i'm about halfway through that "Slow Kids Cereal".....i
fucking love that melody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks man.
Nice beats on the Brown Break. I like the distortion. It
riles me up.

listening....

Oh like it when the layered kick joins the distorted break.

Cool now theres some extra hats.

Have you ever played live? You style could keep people
dancing for a while.

yeah, the way the melodies fit is brilliant........damn i
wish i could do synth parts like that :(

i've played live once, i performed Tirade live at my
college's gig. Let's just say that I'm now renowned for
"alternative music tastes"

here in Widnes, Cheshire the mainstay of music is usually
rock orientated, not beat orientated

My entire town is punk rock orientated. It sucks for me,
awesome if you're into shallow emo punk.

Tirade is really wicked so far. Im listening to it now. Your
drump programming is very nice..

here it's more like Pearl Jam, stuff like that :( ok if
you're into it, but for someone like me who's into more beat
orientated stuff, breaks and synths that literally hurt your
ears i've got no chance to gig!

Thanks on the comments for Tirade :) The intro and latter
half of the track has more original beat programming......i
used the amen break extensively though, and people have
slated me for that :( the reason i did use it a lot
on that track though was because i wanted to do a track that
was similar to the offerings of Atari Teenage Riot (who use
the amen break quite a bit)

interesting tracks. if this is your 'early laughable'
stuff, bring on stuff you've done recently :)

honkytonk

True Faith (NewOrder cover, my best work IMO)

The Day The World Went Away (NIN Cover, not finished)

Gotham (Duke Nukem 3D level song cover)

You Look So Fine (Garbage cover, sans vocals)

nice garbage cover. been a while since i've heard them,
actually. latest album was pure shit minus a few songs (cup
of coffee.. seeing it live made the song so much nicer,
though), but first 2 albums are brilliant.

yeh, i remember seeing them on some saturday morning kids tv
chart thing a while back......i think it was when Shirley
Manson had first cut her hair short.....i wasn't impressed
with the look or the music

Version 2.0 is brilliant though......haven't heard the album
before that

i'm hoping to get my girlfriend to do the vocals for that
Garbage cover.......i'd do them myself, but i can't sing.

nod, agree. duke3d had some really awesome elements; i
think the only reason i'll go back to using windows is when
duke nukem forever comes out :-)

music was definitely one of them. the whole game submersed
you; quake levels never really did it for me.

oh, dude, get selftitled garbage; it's on par with version
2.0.

no no no, don't you mean if it comes out ;)

i have to say i did prefer Quake to Duke Nukem 3D when it
comes to level design, but i do have to say that the Duke
Nukem 3D is a brilliant game.

i'm an id Software fanboy, so i'm inclined to go for
anything id Software has made!

i'm a 3drealms fanboy.

the game will come out. i probably relate with them as i'm
a developer with products that are years overdue, myself.

Stupid Girl from that album......good track :)

brokephones

hehe, i'd love to be able to play a 4 player DOOM deathmatch
over GBA linkup, but i've got no friends so i can't :(

thanks for taking the time to listen to my stuff, and thanks
for the positive comments!!!

i still think that cereal track of yours kicks the shit
outta my stuff!

remember that?

unfortunately i don't have slsk - i can't be arsed going
through the install, and i hate using X11 on OS X but thank
you very much for the offer :)

i'll just use Acquisition to get hold of the album's tracks
:)
