"Here is the Tik & Tok EP: We think you can see in their
style where Fisherspooner got all their ideas from and hear
where a lot of techno and electroclash got it's sound from.
Obviously Tim is supercool as well, just read the bio!

This EP is made of older tracks and unreleased material, all
remastered. In 1980 Tim Dry formed a
rock/mime/burlesque/music troupe named Shock. They travelled
the world, made some records, got a lot of press and found
themselves in the vanguard of the New Romantic cult of the
early '80's, alongside Boy George, Duran Duran, Adam Ant and
Spandau Ballet.

Tim also created a robotic mime and music duo called Tik and
Tok with Sean Crawford who was also a member of Shock. They
supported Duran Duran at Birmingham Odeon in '82, worked
with Vangelis at his home studio, were supported by a
fledgling Depeche Mode, got a huge amount of press coverage
and released 5 singles and a well received album on the
Survival label in the UK, Germany and Japan."

I'd be curious about the "new aphex" that Phobia mentioned
earlier.

I sense hostility! :O
I was thinking that since you seem to be affiliated somewhat
(lol) with rephlex, maybe you could shed some light on
something that will garner more attention when it is
released.

I am the "weakest man in living history" on the basis that i
don't know when the new aphex is being released?

You sir are laughable! Good day!

Do you work in PR or promotions, Mr/Ms Drummond, or in the
music biz in some capactity? Only you seem to have all these
hot leads. Forgive my prying questions.

dole?)

i copied the spiel from the warp site. the samples are there
so you can decide if its worth buying or not. warp tend only
to put up samples of their own material and not rephlexs.

I seem to remember seeing Tik & Tok on a saturday morning tv
programme when i was a tiny thing and they said they were
going to be in the new star wars, which i guess was Return
of the Jedi, i wonder if that was true.

years ago & were a "tiny thing"??!! i'm glad to say i forgot
99% of what i saw on tv as a kid

I remember a lot, I mean a lot of shit. If it's trivial,
pop-culture related it's hardwired to my brain. If it's of
historical, scientific, sporting or cultural significance
then it's gone before I can say "Sorry, what were you on
about?"

youre the pub quiz freak who when a question such as what
was the serial number of the 3rd twelve inch of warriors of
the wasteland by frankie goes to hollywood, can answer it
straight away, then as your friends gasp in
horror/amazement, ponder for yourself how/why the fuck you
knew that in the first place.

i saw star wars episode ii or not 'cause i don't even

I do actually have all the 12"s of FGTH, how do you
know....? But if they asked when did WWII end or what's the
largest river, or indeed, what day is it tomorrow, I'd find
my knowledge somewhat lacking.

at that time, i remember, a mate told me they were gay & it
was the first time i heard about gay people, men loving
men...it added something to the music

Well, actually, i found that the Pepsi music quiz game,
virtually hosted by Dr Fox, pays out handsomley to anyone
with a smattering of pop knowledge. Beware of the Q Magazine
quiz game as that is design to suck you dry, and not in a
good way. I never touch the other quizzes, oh no.

ill keep my eye out for dr fox. remind me what he's a doctor
of again? you're right about the Q machine, you can keep
going and collecting a quid for quite a while if you're on
form but getting 2 quid is risking that get your money back
option, and if you're near getting 3 q music awards it comes
up with some ridiculously contrived question that nobodys
knows, e.g, true or false, robbie williams once owned a
hitatchi tv

With the Q one I thought I was being clever by collecting
the 2 quid then taking the money and then starting again,
but then I realised if you do it too many times it ups the
amount of questions you need to answer to win even a quid,
so you have to leave it twenty minutes, spending your
winnings on drinks to pass the time, and then you're back to
square one. Still, happy times.

roughly they work on a 13 quid in 5 quid out ratio. like
that fucking crystal maze bollocks that had nothing to do
with how many games you won, but how much money it had
taken. i really don't miss that game. stupid fucking
trackball.

i play hangman and battleships, you have a reasonable chance
of winning on hangman, 5 or 6 quid if it feels generous. its
obvious when it wants to pay as you repeatedly get given
questions so easy even your mogoloid mate in your group of
friends (yes, everyone has one) can answer them all
correctly. battleships is more of a kill time between
drinking and playing pool type game. you can play for
longer, the questions are easier but the payout is less

I didn't realise that about the Crystal Maze, fuck I must be
in the target chump demographic. How i used to battle with
the trackball to "grab" the gold things at the end, but
thinking of it there were times when I was sure i'd done it
but it would say no. That cheating bald bastard. I'll give
hangman a go.

Shocking price on fags in pubs now, plus a light pack n all.
Probably be out the window once we follow Ireland's lead on
smoking...

I think I'll download some of the tracks at the top. Hell,
I'm here what's the worst they can sound like
