Anyway I love Dillinja's stuff. I have liked him less and less as time has gone on though. I didn't really like Cybotron at all, but earlier stuff like Armoured D...nobody is fucking with that stuff :D

"the Angels Fell" is so classic... i first heard it on Goldie's INCredible sounds mix album... the start of that second disc (retro), with that song, and terminator, and manslaughter, and dark angel... so sweet... in fact the majority of retro is quite sweet... spektrum, not so much, but it's got it's moments... including the sweet dillinja remix of Shy FX's Bambaata Back to the Core... Dillinja is truly massif... i'd love to hear is valve sound system in action

that is kinda spooky...I have a few fav's from the Cybotron album, but like you, I liked his earlier 12" releases much better...
Weapon of Choice, Perfect Match...etc.
If you ever get a chance to see him play live dont miss out.

The Angels Fell is brilliant. He made nasty agressive stuff back in the day...then followed suit and started making lighter more commercial freindly junk.

i thought Valve Sound was pretty cool... but yeah, for the most part Cybotron wasn't that great... dnb artists aren't supposed to make albums...

Yeah I read once he wanted to "explore ALL NEW levels in BASS"...therefore he studied up with engineers and studio headz and came up with the VALVE SS
Oh to hear that in action....

...but no, instead i live in Canada and i've never even been to a drum n bass night in my life (i'd probably hear mostly shitty american crap anyway)... the worst was when Doc Scott came through months before my 18th birthday...

there's a dillinja track on a v-records triple vinyl set i bought in 1999 called "unexplored terrain".. 'tis good, like a lot of his stuff that I've heard.
it is pretty formulaic after a while.. but it's drum&bass, and it's designed to be mixed on a dancefloor. a lot off d&b-heads don't like to be challenged too much, it might distract them from their scowling.
as for the valve system, that's just techies gone mad. an interesting experiment in bass, but probably quite damaging in the long run.
not heard cybotron.. but, as a rule, most d&b longplayers aren't up to much.
