bad combination - being drunk and listening to this track. that last minute nearly made me pass out, with headphones on and the volume turned up.
anyone else find this particular noise a little extreme?

this track is drukqs's real killer. i don't think afx has ever made anything more rhythmically complex. if this is edited down from the version functioning as soundtrack to the 17 minute short film chris cunningham did, i'd love to hear the rest. =D =D =D

I don't really like that track much... I really like Drukqs, but Mt St. Michel mix is far from my favorite...

that track is not disturbing at all. I love it. its my smoking track.
Thou one of my favourite albums is Fixed with nin. And I got two 6and10 year old brothers that UUh They scream and stuff. I bet AT would love their sound. he could proberbly make a good song with my brothers screaming in the background.
well ST,M is not disturbing at all.

listen to it w/ headphones. toward the very end there's about 20 seconds when the stereo mix switches to something VERY different sounding, like a sort of "canyon" quality to it that makes the beats REALLY harsh on the ears. i love it but it's pretty intense.

it's funny.. the first couple of times i listened to Mt st. michel mix+ st. michaels mount i never picked up on the melodical side.. through that spattering mesmerising finish (and prior to it), you can hear voices singing something dreamy..
ahh.. i could slip away to that. (kids, stay of the crack)

I really like this track, sitting in a darkened room in my reclining chair listening to it through headphones (better treble) AND a subwoofer (Bass, obviously!) It feels nuts. It's like being totally apart from existense.

This is one of my all time Aphex favs. This track is so.....words cannot describe it. The end is made with so called stopgaps, which means the music goes on and off VERY fast. My brain experiences something totally new. It's trippya and it puts you in a trance. My girlfriend thinks it's disturbing and eerie, but always, when she's at my place, she wants to hear the track and it puts the biggest smile possible on her face. Yeah.

stop gaps! of course! shit, why didn't i realize that? thanks for pointing out the obvious (which wasn't obvious to anyone else here cos it's one of those things that are just so blatant they get overlooked). damn, i wish i had a girlfriend that loves aphex twin. i do have one that likes his music but couldn't really say what she likes so much, and it's not what she usually listens to. at least she's even heard of him. no other girl i've gone out with has ever heard the music, and when i'd mention the name they'd just smile and nod supportively.
stupid cunts.

Ceri i'll have to try listening to it in the dark. IMHO it's a dark-ish kinda track, peaceful at the same time. defenitely not something to be trifled with ;-) meaning, everyone should love it!
Phalanx it put a smile on my face too.. dunno why, but it gives me a pleasurable kind of feeling, like i enjoy it screwing with my eardrums. I smile because the stopgaps makes me feel like walking on shaky ground, while being tickled with a feather.. very weird.
titsworth, i'm not sure if you're being sarcastic.. 'stupid cunts' <-- ? the girlfriend bit seemed real though. and no, you can't stick your jimmy up my slimehole.
and, thanksomuch, your predicament sounds pretty cliched. maybe you should come down off planet claire and talk to someone sometime
