... but damn, My Bloody Valentines Loveless album is
nice... I've had it for maybe a month or two now, but have
only really gotten into it this past week... it's quite
nice... hypnotic in places, kind of relaxing in some, poppy
and stuff in others... good stuff!

I'm always hearing these guys mentioned with BoC though... I
fail to see the connection however! Guess BoC just mentioned
them as an influence or something...

It's okay. But the hype is ridiculous right now.

it's the fuzzy wuzzy wall of sound thing, the sweet little
melodies bathed in warm noise. kind of BoCish, in a way.

It's good, yes. But for some reason everyone seems to be
neck-deep in in a MyBloodyValentine revival at the moment.

well I've been meaning to buy it for ages, but only got
around to it like I said about a month or two ago... I like
it anyways...

I'm usually late getting into certain albums and stuff...
but I guess it's better late then never!

Listen to "To here knows when". You can't hear BoC?

I don't think this album is as brilliant as some people make
it out to be (although maybe it was a different thing to
hear it just when it was released rather then now), but it's
real nice nonetheless!

geogaddi was directly influenced in places, such as dawn
chorus.

"Isn't Anything" is a far better album.

Loveless is so freaking good... damn.

They knocked one out of the park with that one, I mean the
guitar sound, the buried vocals, the ambience... its a
classic for the ages.

I remember listening to it for the first time on my walkman
at a bus stop in the early springtime with my eyes closed
and my face turned to the afternoon sun... everything was
orange rosy psychedelic like the music and my feet were cold
and I could smell earth and melting ice and it was
delicious.

This is one of my top 10 records ... better you discovered
it late than never.

Check out 'Dead Cities ...' by M83 for a great recent album
influenced by MBV. The BoC connection is a little tenuous.

recommended them :)

Yes this album is awesome. I got Isn't Anything a week or
two ago, I like it, but it would be so much better if the
production wasnt so lame.

who cares about the trends. loveless is a fucking ace album.

It is great and maybe a lot of people who were not old
enough at the time are enjoying it now such as myself. The
best music will always be in and out of a trend because it
is good.

i find the album a bit dull, myself. good to sleep to.

It's a wicked album, but my favorite Valentine is by far the
Ecastacy and Wine comp. Brick wall jangle rock. Loveless
gets too much kudos... the rest of their stuff is rarely
talked about. Isn't Anything is no slouch.

I also thought that the influence on boards of canada might
be the actual mixing of the record the way that alot the
detail is hidden so that you have to find it.

I like that alot.
