Good place to get DVDs?

I'm sure there's some film geeks here that collect DVDs, so
help me out. I'm starting a collection, now that I've turned
my room into a veritable theater, but they're so expensive
around here. I just bought 2001- A Space Odyssey for 20
bucks... surely I can do better. And I don't like the
vulnerable case it came in, either. I've got a couple of
Kubrick DVDs and their cases are rubbish. They're
''special''.

Are those Columbia House-type services any good? I remember
I used to belong to a few of those for music porpoises, and
I bought a billion CDs at wicked prices. Like 12 for 1 deals
every two months. Any websites would be good, too. Where do
you shop for this stuff?

Thanks! That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. Looks
good, but it's British. I hate Britain and all British
people. Any similar sites geared towards... say, Canada?

playUSA.com'

American counterpart of play.com.

always compare prices between the sites - they can differ
wildly, and all shippingcosts are free anyway.

Thanks, you guys are the best, especially Qrter because I
don't think he's British.

Already using DVD Price Checker, I've found Terminator
Special Edition for 8 bucks, and I just bought it for 16.

I've got another question, I hope a North American can help
me out here. Currently, I watch DVDs on my PS2... I don't
have a Real McCoy DVD player, but I've been looking. I want
to get one that can support 1080i... 720p, maybe, but my TV
converts 720p to 1080i anyway. What do you guys use?

PS2 supports up to 480p, but I think my older model doesn't
even have that option.
