...for DVD's and videos, because they say shit like:

"Own The Matrix Revolutions on DVD and video from Monday"

you don't own the film, you just own the right to watch a
copy of it in your home.

that's another point...sometimes when you watch a DVD it
goes off on some spiel about how you're only permitted to
use the DVD for home use only, and that you're not permitted
to watch it in cafes, restaurants and public places and
shit.

well what about laptops, and all these portable DVD players
that have cropped up lately?

"Own The Matrix Revolutions on DVD/ watch it
in cafes, restaurants and public places and
shit.

I would be ashamed of myself if I did any of these things.

its more annoying when they say "special features", and the
only extras are scene selection, subtitles and... that's
it!

could least give a commentary...

it really annoys me when they always say that it's a
"special edition 2 disc set"

most DVD's released now have 2 discs as standard, so it's
not really that "special"

That bugs me, too Jack - a trailer of the film does NOT
constitue a fucking "special" feature - that is a "humdrum"
feature. So, they should all be "Humdrum Edition".

Yeah, listening to music on a ghetto blaste rin the park or
with your car windows down probably constitutes "public
listening" :P

I have been wondering if the FBI's main function is crack
down on people who copy or make money from movies in the
movie industry... given the 30 second long warnings
beginning each movie.

exactly my point.

so what are they gonna do, make everyone who owns a personal
cd player, minidisc, iPod, MP3 player, car stereo or
whatever they own pay a fee to the PRS?

i think they only really care if you're making profit out of
it... for example, playing it on a radio station, or lending
it to someone for a fee.

when i was a kid, like 1 or 2 my parents would record every
advertisement break onto VHS, and when i was being unruly
they'd put it on, and i'd sit there transfixed to the screen
