im getting into hip hop more and more, every day...

i love dose one ever since i heard him the first time...he's
good, great...it must be cool to see him rap live, he's fast
:)

if you like him, you should check this compilation, it's
pretty fantastic, and the quality is awesome for a live
thing.

I'll download it and add it to my 'To Buy' list if it's
good.

On the 'dose live' topic, have you ever heard him perform
with Boom Bip live? They did a few songs off Circle and one
from Boom Bip's album.. but my point is that the tracks from
Circle were way better live, I downloaded the album after
hearing it and the studio versions are no where near as
good.

i love that album they did with boom bip...i haven't seen
them perform though. only bim boop, but i wasn't too
impressed...

some of songs on this "live" are from the john peel
sessions...i like those the most.

I think this album is wicked. The boom bip and doseone peel
session is a lot better than Circle.

Doseone sounds a lot different without why? I have to say...
seems much more like a rapper, where on cLOUDDEAD releases
he sounds more like a singer. Still good though.

he has a cool voice, so he's using it for different things i
guess. there's a track from peel session where he's rapping
really fast...perhaps even faster than sole :)

i'm not too cool with the current state of american hip hop
though for sure, at least rhyme-style-wise. folks just seem
to either (a) rhyme with very little regard to rhythm...just
space yr words out so it fits or (b) rhyme with very little
regard to melody...just sort of monotone it so everything
always sounds the same. most people seem to fit in (a) but
eminem, who appears to be the premier american rapper right
now, is very (b) to me...all his shit sorta sounds the same
to me.

on top of all this, most people just talk about sex and
violence, and not in a way that says anything to anybody.

new wu-tang clan supposedly coming though
and de la soul is thankfully still doing it
and i probably should get the N.E.R.D. album
and when is d'angelo coming back dammit???

i don't know any of those...but what's wrong with this one?
i think it's fantastic!
