Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams... Probably the first piece of music I head as a kid that actually helped me appreciate 'music'.

i thought that Tears fo Fears album was from the early 90's... otherwise i would've mentioned a few tracks from it... awesome stuff..
other stuff i didn't mention last time: Nurse With Wound-(most of Homotopy to Marie) (most of soliloquy for lilith) Coil- Ostia (the Death of Pasolini) Current 93- (most of Dogs Blood Rising) Sting- moon Over Bourbon Street the Clash- Rock the Casbah -Straight to Hell - Death is a Star Einsturzende Neubauten- Yu-Gung Black Flag- Six Pack DAF- Der Mussolini Cabaret Voltaire- Crackdown U2- Pride (and... as funkmaster said... a lot of others) Joy Division- Love Will Tear Us Apart Tones On Tail- this one particular song midway through their album... really slinky bassline... can't remember what it's called right now...
Jesus and the MAry Chain- Just Like Honey Pixies- Monkey Goes To Heaven -Where is my mind? Brian Eno and Harold Budd- An Echo of Night Alan Parsons- Eye in the Sky
...and so on and so forth... bleh

I have to say "respect" in a very macho accent for Woofer mentioning not only the sublime Propoganda (Jewel, their cover of Josef K's "Sorry for Laughing" and their excellent remix album "Wisful Thinking"), and Lil Louie, but also for mentioning the original version of "What time is Love?" by the KLF which, for me too, changed the way I thought about music.
