Is there any info about the kind of sets going on at Glade
Festival? I mean Squarepusher's going to play live right?

I'd be excited, but I'm not going, and it's not as if anyone
is going to record it anyway.

I'm going to Reading! Went to Leeds last year and it was v
cool. Met Buck 65 who was awesome. I am also hoping for some
decent dance stuff. You might like to know that !!! have
said they are playing, their new album is out on warp on
monday... anyone on warp has got to be worth checking out at
least.

Re. Leeds festival. Do Squarepusher/Aphex etc. confirm that
they will be there, or do they just turn up?

Squarepusher confirmed last year so I guess so. Dance stage
stuff is generally the last to be realeased tho, hence the
speculation.

At Reading last year Squarepusher said it was the worst gig
he'd ever played and that the organisers are a bunch of
cunts. He said this over the mic during the set by the way.
So I doubt he'll be doing Leeds/Reading again in a hurry,
but you never know.

nice one, i'll definately check out !!! at leeds: i've heard
a little bit of their stuff. could be good live. i read an
interview with their drummer on teletext just this morning.
(page 353 on C4 for anyone who's interested....)

teletext is fantastic.

apparantly the sound was really shit for squarepusher at
reading. he played leeds the day before where the sound was
spot on. he seemed to be quite lively, shouting and such.
very good.

Lol he always seems so pleasant in interviews aswell. Yeah I
had heard that his set was shit last year, feel better about
missing him to see grandaddy :s

hannibal... it is the ghetto internet!!! (stole that from
someone sorry)

He probably played shit cause Reading festival is a load of
shite and saves all the good shite for shiting glastonbury.

I have tickets, hehe

i think carling weekend is great! specially for my musical
requirements. last year i saw, amongst others:
primal scream
squarepusher
death in vegas
amon tobin
gold chains
sparta
the mars volta
british sea power
manitoba

and all were just grand!

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2004-06-03 15:04 [#01221456]

He was actually on top form at Reading, but the sound
technicians made a complete balls of it so we only really
got half an hour of proper music. He was furious though and
he really went for it when it got sorted out, it was cool to
see him all angry!

Carling weekend again.

Wow at last a headlining slot for Squarepusher, I think this
one's gonna be good.
