CD 1: The Gasman.......pretty tasty Cd-Skippery vocals lushness. No beats so great for mixing Chevron..........break beat with some dril, reggae vocals... chunky 000..............BoC-like melodies over chris clark type squelchy beats Jega.............damn fine driving, pulsating head-knocking stuff... nice use of flange Detachi'.........very similar to Chirs Clark's meatier tunes Julian Fane......A little melodic break - very cute little nursery rhyme tune. It sounds french. Subjex...........Crunchy electro break beat with lush chpped vocals (a little like like cursor minor) Lexaunsculpt.....plinky plonky stuff....a bit like pp roy Luke Vibert......an old tune but a good one - that underwater melody is so sweet Patrick Wolk.....an ironic pop song. A bit DMX Krew'y meets Erasure Flouroscopic Kid.back into strectched out big beats... remixed by Hvarski and you'd know it Frog Pocket......Slow burner track..... night-time sleepy music Leafcutter John..Bluesy "Paris, Texas" type tune... not electronic but real nice CD 2: Joseph Nothing...Sweet little melodic opener with glitchy beats n melodic vocals Shitmat..........Full on Ragga/Gabba... a corker with some ska/bagpipe samples!!! Electronic Music Composer.a cluster of break-beats noodling.again chris clarke is brought to mind Nautilis.........Lush dancey track with subtle acidness n treasing synths Local............catchy atari game track Ambulance .......haunting electroncia weaver001........simialr to above.... kind of cinematic Phithalocyanine..off kilter squelcy organic sounds of straight beats Urban Myth and Steve beresford.....more atmospheric future music..this could be on ch4 documetarty Dykwhouse and the Frost Jocky....actually quite like Ambulance's "Vale.." alubum tracks. So..... theres a lot of chris clarky glitchy beats in there, some interesting vocally stuff that sounds like movie material. I was expecting more harsher tunes but wasn't disappointed with its gentler edge. I would defo go for more Gasman, shitmat, julian fane, Subjex.jega, Detachi |
