Has anyone ever used / is using Buzz Machines?

I've downloaded it, and had a quick gander. seems quite
good, but a lot to get my head round, and i'm not too
familliar with trackers (apart from Octamed on teh amiga
¬_¬)

if anyones using it i'd like to know your opinion, and
whether you think it'd be worth adding to my music toys :)

btw one thing i did notice was that its very unreliable,
but it might just be my p.c

cheers :)

it's not similar to max at all from what I gather, buzz is
just a open ended tracker housing, mainly for sequencing
modules (either ones that come with it or vsti's)

I like it

max/msp site:

http://www.cycling74.com/products/maxmsp.html

looks like you join widgets together to make midi sequences
and instruments. havent tried it myself

Its kinda abstract... Autechre use it I believe. It lets you
do really detailed and mathematical kinda sequencing.

is awesome.

Yeah, i've been using buzz for a while. There's some things
i don't like:

- Soundquality (but i've heard pretty awesome tracks
so i must suck)

- Stability (save many, save often. it's so fucking
frustrating. but sometimes you're able to save the file even
if program is going down)

But all the good stuff ... Sometimes it's pretty cool to
start buzz and just load some random machines and random
effects and add peerLFO to do some random changes in
paramaters. It's pretty easy to make original, new,
never-heard-before stuff with it.

I haven't made much stuff lately but this is last
song i made. It's mostly sample based, but there's some
native stuff also (bass, something in background in the
ned)

yup

The 'soundquality is rubbish' rubbishness people seem to
keep saying about buzz is complete rubbish. The people that
say this are usually the same people that look blank when
you use the words 'compressor', 'limiter', 'eq' or 'you
probably have your speakers plugged into your bottom'.

Yeah, and people who say something about soundquality have
to hear that same rubbish about dynamics etc. blah blah

i didn't say it's FUCKING RUBBISH.

but IT'S FUCKING HARD TO MAKE SONGS SOUND GOOD

There's lots of cool stuff which makes buzz more useful.
Polac released new VST-loaders which supports also
directx-plugins. And also there's buzzle
