what autechre cd should i get?

hevquip from a crabs carriage on 2001-05-02 21:02 [#00005431]

i only have EP7 right now and i get paid tomorrow, so i
figure i'll buy SAW II and an autechre cd. i'm leaning
towards tri repetae ++, but i'm not quite sure. do you
fleshlings have any opinions as to me getting a different
autechre cd.

AmBER hands down, Incabula isnt bad but it sounds very dated
nowadays....

Ross from can. on 2001-05-03 03:46 [#00005461]

tri repetae, but it depends..i started with tri repetae and
actually got into it quite quickly, now its one of my
favorite cds

TekN010G from Australia on 2001-05-03 08:50 [#00005512]

I think that you should take it in steps,.. I think you
should buy tri repetae first,.. then when you buy LP5 you'll
appreciate it much more

I just think that tri repetae is a classic and should be
bought first,.. It helps you get into the other stuff,.. but
that is just my little opinion :)

i'm almost embarassed.
i've always meant to get tri repetae but never got round to
it for stupid reasons.
on the say so of everyone here i will go and get it this
afternoon and i will kill anyone who gets in my way.
i was gonna suggest chiastic slide, but i fear i'm all alone
on this one.

Netlon Sentinel from beyond on 2001-05-04 14:36 [#00005647]

no rubbish, you were right about chiastic slide. it's great!
especially the first 4 songs. i hate track 5, though.

'hate' is very strong word

Cant believe this, am I the only one who likes the
CichliSuite e.p ?

come on its great 30 minutes of coolness, and if you buy it
from warp its only 1/3 the price of a full album, I havent
got Envane, but I do really want that as well, and so might
you :)

5is6 on 2001-05-04 18:06 [#00005661]

Yes you are. I love sickly sweat(as opossed to liking it).
And I love envane even more. and now im wondering how
anyone who just jumped on the ae bandwagon could try and
criticize an old skewl fan from back in the day. if you
dont own every available release by ae, then shut the fuck
up if your trying to tell me im in no position to judge an
album. confiled = kaka

hexane from Australia on 2001-05-05 11:09 [#00005702]

CichliSuite is superb - Krib is the best track on it. who
ever hated trk5 on chiastic slide - well, you're entitled to
your opinion, but how can you not like it!?!
dum-dum-dah....weayyy dum-dum-dah...weayyy am i thinking of
the right one? i havent listened to that cd for a while

Netlon Sentinel from beyond on 2001-05-05 13:22 [#00005708]

hmm, well sorry. but i really can't stand track 5. it's too
repetitive, imo. headache inducing. guess i'm not a true
fan...;)

i love cichli suite as well. krib is beautiful and so is
yeesland. i like envane even more. especially draun quarter.

I hope he waited a few days and bought Confield, released
that year.
