I like it when people call out because they have 'stomach
problems' and they just so happened to have eaten at a
restaurant the night before and had gotten some 'bad food'

I always use that as an excuse to go home earlier :)

ah so you mean people calling in sick for aforementioned
reasons?

ha ha yes, the "bad food" thing is a nice one, isn't it?

I use it sometimes too, but only if my sleeping has been
really shit for a few days (my sleeping is very erratic).

but it's especially nice if someone rings in to say they're
sick and you can almost smell the alcohol.

i'm guilty of the fake call out but i haven't done it in a
couple years. today it was two people and it's a holiday
weekend so it was brutal. i once worked at a
garden/landscaping store that accepting being hungover as a
very valid excuse not to come in. too bad i was sixteen at
the time and couldn't take advantage of it.

I work with food so as long as I tell them I've got food
poisoning they don't make me work, and if I use the word
diarhoea it makes the conversation awkward enough that they
won't question me any further.

But fake sickies is wrong kids...
