Have you ever been listening to music in the woods at night,
while tripping balls on shrooms or acid?

Not until after you've experienced it riding the psychedelic
stratosphere, can you even begin to imagine how awesome it
really is.

Never tried that with such amplifiers. It might be my last
minutes I think.

Yeah... Green Day. I built a cabin in the woods behind my
house back in elementary school, and my entire musical diet
back then consisted of Green Day, the Presidents of the
United States of America, and Weird Al. I used to be up
there 24/7 building that thing, even in the night, listening
to the ol' BOOM BOX.

As for a REAL musical experience up in the woods, no. But I
think taking a stroll through my cemetery would be nice with
a CD-R full of Coil or Lustmord. I'm just too much of a
pussy cat to risk it.

I was 'displacing myself' through a cemetery more than once,
and I must admit, that journey into the woods gives a
stronger experiences. But that cemetery is not as sinister
as in movies...

Yeah, cemeterys aren't THAT scary... you can see demons
coming a mile away, silhouetted against the sky. Not so when
you've got thousands of trees obscuring your vision. I used
to hate walking the woods at night, it's too forbidding,
even without a soundtrack.

Listening to music at home is just a shitty option. Drukqs
can change it, but 'one LP lenght woods session' with a
discman loaded with Artifakts [BC] is my recommendation :-0

listening to music in the woods is awesome... particularly
at night in the winter... this last year, i was living in a
house a few blocks away from a ravine, so i would take my
dog out for a walk late at night and listen to something
like Philip Jeck's "Seven"... it's really cool because the
way the snow reflects the (minmal) light it never gets pitch
black, instead it's kind of this hazy shade of dark
purple... and everything seems kind of muted... gorgeous

one time i ate four grams of dried mushrooms, climbed the
wall at my university's japanese tea garden, and went for a
midnight walk listening to mozart's deathbed requiem. one of
the most exquisite experiences of my life.
