In the film he claims, if the U.S. had lost the war, he
would almost certainly have been tried as a war criminal.

i'll watch the documentary, and you know why because i'm
willing to read all sorts of material. people went haywire
in my terrorist thread simply because i decided it to get it
from fox. the funny thing is i heard about the terrorists
from cnn. they're all one sided thinkers. i'm sure people go
out of their way to insult me when i'm not in accord with
their extremist left wing shit.

I was being sarcastic about the Islamic fundamentalists
there, sadly not about the neo-nazis though. Some folks even
had swastikas in their windows when I went there a couple of
years back. :(

i was sorta caught off guard when i saw that avg. white
surbanite in the list with the rest of the suspects. i can't
believe you can get in america's most wanted list in no less
than 3 years.

i'm not extremest left-wing, and 'Fog of War' is definately
not Left-Wing but it is extremely informative and thought
provoking.

maybe you should have posted the link from CNN :)

once, i saw a bit of Fox News (my mom watches it
unfortionately) and they had a guy on there who was saying
how disgusted he was that Bush apologised for the torture
and murder of Iraqi prisoners! They even had so called
experts saying how they still expected to find WMD even when
the head US weapon inspector declare they wouldn't find any
WMD. Its almost like a government propaganda channel, you
might as well just get your news straight from the
whitehouse.

when you're an american talking about terrorists and such,
you'll need more sources to rely on. Preferrably sources
outside of the US. That's just the way it is.. all americans
who can't back what they say with several sources will be
distrusted immediately. It's the sign of the times right
now.

i'm sorry norway but nobody is throwing themselves in
resolving this issue, example, france, germany, etc... i
prefer to get my news from people who dont have a laid back
approach with this problem. i already pointed to nacmat the
problems his socialist gov't are going ot go through,
because this isnt' the first time it happens to spain, they
had terrorists attack back in the 1930's if i'm not
mistaken. people choose to believe whats convenient. i'm not
saying i'm GOD when it comes to news, but theres no reason
why i should feel bad for getting information from foxnews
or any other source for that matter.

"but theres no reason
why i should feel bad for getting information from foxnews"

there are lots of reasons, but i can't be bothered to go
into them...

*leaves to finnish his essay that has to be handed in
tomorrow, shit*

yeah, but the problem is that the only country that still
sees a problem, and in many cases create more problems with
the way they are handling things is america.. there is too
much "yee-haw-ism" in the way your government handles
things... and the news ARE biased.. there's nothing to be
done about that, unfortunately. therefore, comparing several
sources can give a fuller view of the true events.

press.. it applies to everyone.

"As for terrorism goes it is hardly ever pointed out that
the U.S is, after all, the only country condemned by the
world court for international terrorism_for "the unlawful
use of force" for political ends, as the court put it_
ordering the U.S to terminate these crimes and pay
substancial reparations. The U.S of course dismissed the
Court's judgement with contempt, reacting by escalating the
terrorist war against Nicaragua and vetoing a Security
Council resolution calling on all states to observe
international law ( and voting alone, with Israel and in one
case El Salvador, against similar General Assembly
resolutions). the terrorist war expanded in accordance with
the official policy of attacking "soft targets" _undefended
civilian targets, like agricultural collectives and health
clinics_ instead of engaging the Nicaraguan army. "

this was'nt long ago, and far worse has been done by the U.S
since.

but if you believe then Nora that that means i support your
list above you are mistaken. i just dont believe everyting
is black and white like that.

"As for terrorism goes it is hardly ever pointed out that
the U.S is, after all, the only country condemned by the
world court for international terrorism_"

that alone is laughable. i stopped reading after that
ridiculous anti american propaganda. good day to you sir. i
must head out to my statistics course now!

i just hate all this war on terrorism shit. you cant fight a
war on people who belong to no particular order, country or
sect. terroists arent and isolated group on an island you
can bomb. Blowing up these countrys is just blowing up
civilians. Terroism isnt new it just seems the rest of the
world has been dealing with it for years and suddenly
america gets something big and now everyone else has to care
and bush has to go storming round blowing up shit. America
openly supported the IRA whilst they were planting nail
bombs in small pubs and killing loads of innocent people. is
that not terrorism?

"i was sorta caught off guard when i saw that avg. white
surbanite in the list with the rest of the suspects"

It seems you need to realise that terroists arent all
islamic infact i recently watched a documentary on right
wing texans converting to islam after sept 11 and there is a
surprisingly large number converting, so you may find you
views are more towards islamic ones ?

wha?

just check it out it's easy to find out if it's true or not,
especially as you seem to be so into your research you will
find it's not anti american propaganda at all!!!
i just thought it would be useful to also be reminded of
this.
why do you think i'm anti american? can that conclusion be
made and how?

as for the quote you put, i meant "was the only..." i dont
know if recently that has changed, but check it out! this
happened mid 80s.

i liked the part where nora said that facts were nothing but
anti-american propaganda... you get that comment about as
regularly as you get israelis calling anyone who disagrees
with them anti-semites (an usually they are accusing someone
who is of another branch of semitic faith... just to add on
a whole other level of irony)

I like how Yavo busts in and posts "aphex twin"
then later Nac replies "autechre" in a followup fashion!

Truly a classic moment in XLT!!
