In the style of Empty the Bones...

Hey everyone,

I've been listening to Chris Clark's Empty the Bones and am
so glad I found something as textured and cool sounding as
this.

Can anyone recommend some other music (recent or not) that
operates on the same part of my taste buds and visual
cortex?

if you like chris clark that much, maybe you'd care for some
robbie williams...he's awesome too.

I think there is some comparison to Tri Repetae.

Tolstoyed, it seems you don't like Chris Clark/Empty the
Bones, but do you know what I'm talking about? I'm lookinf
for stuff that is complex and very tactile. Music that
engages hearing but also other senses. Others who have done
this for me are Autechre, Aphex, NIN. For example, BOC who
are awesome, don't quite engage my sense of touch or sight.

Does this make sense to some people?

umm, i see, i guess i cant find that complexity in his
music...i still think robbie is excellent though.

i have clarence park, and i was so disappointed in that i
didn't get anything else...after some people were forcing me
to give a listen to empty the bones and that other one
ceramics whatever, i downloaded those two, and well, didn't
like those two either. he lacks imagination.

you forgot Plaid,
but Chris Clark has an unique style, so it would be
difficult to find something that sounds like it

Plaid - Mfaus, maybe?

Sixtoo - Amphitheatre

I find it quite the same feeling as Chris Clark, but more of
an HipHop edge to it. You should check out Sixtoo Antagonist
Survival Kit. And there aint anything as good a Empty the
Bones Of You, Chris is in his own league..

And fuck you tolstoyed =)

first off, definitely listen to his ep Ceramics is the Bomb
if you haven't already.

another album that's got a kind of similar crunchy feel to
it is

o9 - Church of the Ghetto PC

try early Phoenecia, Richard Devine - more glitchy but
equally organic

i want more of that "ceramics......" banging tune.... what
is it? trk 3? its soooo fucking good.... i heard his live
sets can be more like that. great!

pf and AlbertoBalsam: I just wanted to thank you two for
recommending Sixtoo ASK and Einar Orn. I listen to both
frequently, and both are quite awesome. As for the other
suggestions I either haven't had a chance to find it, or
haven't looked hard enough yet.

Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

Empty the Bones .. is good, but wasn't nearly as original or
imaginative as Clarence Park. I still need to give it
another run through, but just first impressions.
