xanpha & aubyn - scarletttrack (live)

hello
myself and noah wilson played live tonight as part of the
DATUM sound show opening, and i must say it was one of the
best gigs i've played. Now, it would be awesome to post the
entire 40 minute gig for you here, however, the fucker at
the mixing desk recorded the set oh... about 30dB TOO LOUD.
Anyway... so i have a giant peaking block of sound that is
our gig, but it wasnt all bad... we played a new song for
the very first time, something that might be making its was
on my xanpha lp this december, in some way or another, let
me know what you think... not too much distortion in this
one, its quite ok...

pics and video from the gig forthcoming.

cheers guys :)

...it's true. Not like you do.

You really should check out the new Pelican City album
(Rhode Island) I reckon you'd like it a lot.

Is this from the same lot using field recordings as samles?
It sounds a bit like them. Nice track, I'd like the
electronic element of the percussion slower (maybe half-time
it), but otherwise I really like it. Good work.

..i did check out the pelican city album when you first
originally posted it, its not bad, pretty good :)

Excellent x2. I love the more formal percussion sounds that
are introduced towards the end, and I would be very
interested inhearing the whole :) performance.

thanks!
lee...
you might be interested in the fact that, that track was
composed fully in max/msp on the fly, which was pretty
cool... i mean we had the patches for the song but we
proceeded to rip it up :)

hehe I had a feeling that was the case. I could hear a lot
of sample retriggers and rate changes throughout the peice
:)
