I don't watch movies. I threw a TV into parent's room.
Last time I went to see a movie Data died.
I hate anything that moves in 2D. Unlike your stationary avatar....

dancer in the dark is one of the best films ever, utterly depressing, but got to love it. Anyone else like his other film 'breaking the waves', thats brilliant and depressing as well.

when I saw it at the cinema, it did bring tears to my eyes.
it's beautifully photographed, but it never has had the same emotional impact on me - kind of indicating (to me at least) that it's a real melodrama.

The bit when Bjork is at work and the sounds of all the machines merge into the backing track for a song is an absolutely wonderful moment.
The ending had me in floods.

what really got to me was when she killed the cop and then did a little dance number with him, it showed the truth about her condition and the raw imagination of the writers.

1. seen it. didn't destroy my will to live.
i loved it. probably the only musical i can say that about. the cinematography is amazing. especially for the musical numbers, with that 100 cameras running simultaneously set-up. yes quite amazing.
2. when Gandalf falls off the bridge of Khazad Dum in Fellowship of the Ring. i always weep there. but not quite the same as Dancer in the Dark though.

Dancer In The Dark is really tragic, same goes for Breaking The Waves. Bjork is so beautiful in it though.
I watched Dogville at the cinema. A few people walked out during it, i think alot of people were expecting a hollywood-type film with Nicole Kidman, and what they got was an experimental play/film. It takes a while to get past the fact that the whole film is set on a stage, but soon you stop thinking about it, and the film takes over. It was pretty good..liked the ending alot.
