Better than "Fuse"

Glitch from New Zealand ( www.mp3.com/tendrils ) on 2001-05-02 11:48 [#00005392]

Those of you that listened to my last uploaded song (Fuse)
might be interested in listening to my "Newest" track "If I
Bothered To Think..."

www.mp3.com/tendrils

This track is a lot more like Boards Of Canada in sound than
anything else Ive done, and I welcome your Opinions and
thoughts :) Personally I believe this is quite alot better
than "Fuse"

Yeah, I can see the more relaxed BoC influence - reminds me
of the latter part of An Eagle In Your Mind. The kick is
doubled by a high pitched sound that reminds me of Ventolin
a bit. Quite nice and chilled out, without the burbling
beats of Fuse. I thought the chords could of been a little
less (seemingly) random, but this mattered less as the track
progressed and I got used to them.
Overall, a quite cool track that contrasts well with Fuse
and Bit Town.

Chris.

i was generalising, this is full of peeps who want to be
heard etc, why dont they just go to a record company or
whatever

Glich, I agree. When I ...................., .......
......... .... .....................,".........
................. .. ....". Furthermore, .........
............. .............. Please stop plugging your
music on other musicians sites. Its like product placement
in my favorite movie. Its desperate.

Sorry, I still like fuse better. That song was good, but a
little too normal for my liking. (but if I don't like
something there's a good chance everyone else will) Fuse was
very layback and tweaked and original and up their as one of
my favorites on mp3.com (but if I like something there's a
good chance everyone else won't). I took a listen to your
new bit town, and it seemed mostly the same as the original
except an intro which did make the song better. Of course
please excuse my malfunctioning mp3 player so if something
else happened after 1:00, I couldn't hear it as it blew up
like usual.

Now I know how to piss people off in future posts. Just put
a whole lot of "................'s" and everyone else is
forced to post long horizontal messages! Heh, heh, heh. I
can't wait to misuse and abuse this new acquired power.

Thanks for the Usefull replies, those that listened and have
given me good critisism I thank :)

Im not worried by 5is6's stupid remarks, and have resolved
to never listen, or even read his posts again, and po{e}, Im
so sorry you dont like artists posting their music here,
maybe this will be my first and last time, but I for one
like quite alot of the music that people here make, and I
wouldnt tell you of my songs unless I thought they might be
liked by some, its not like Im posting some shity pop music
stuff, or even some other form of electronic music.

oh, and M, I didnt think the finished version of Bit Town
was up yet, but it has just gone up.
And yeah the start isnt so much different to the other
version. But the end, like after 1:30 has changed quiet
abit, so you must have missed the new parts, never mind :)

Its a little bit longer too

5is6:
Please get rid off your negative attitude and stop
impersonating other people.

We have banned people from this MB before. Just give me one
more reason to give you read-only access.

hey Glitch, nice attempt! I wish I had time and more talent
to produce this nice music.
Otherwise I suggest develop your own sound. Something
original OK? But IMO you are not that far from that state.

Glitch from New Zealand on 2001-05-03 17:40 [#00005553]

Im pretty much on my way as far as original sound is
concerned, I have been a musician for many years now, but
sometimes a part of a track gets influenced a bit too much
by Boc, AE or AFX.
