Zeus - I'm not sure but I think it's a firewall.

3051 - yeah, but surely you'll become infected before you'll
know about it. At least Norton will notify you when you get
a virus immediately. I have Norton AV on all the time, and
can say it's been a great help.

Stinger does look nicely inobtrusive though. :)

please, please, please, please don't buy norton. during the
schoolyear i work at my uni's helpdesk and you wouldn't
believe (a) how many problems it causes (b) what a vast
range of computer problems simply vanish as soon as you
uninstall it.

if you buy mcafee online, you can install it (not legally,
of course) on as many computers as you want, and still get
upgrades etc through them. avp from kaspersky labs is also
pretty good, most likely because those russian geniuses
write all the viruses themselves.

Norton are stupid... my dad foolishly bought Norton Anti
Virus, but now they say our version is too old for the
updates, so a newer Norton must be bought - even though
we've still got months on our updates agreement
thingymajig.

Installed AVG now...

Can you be specific on what kind of problems it causes?
I'm running Norton firewall and AV and it does what it has
to, stop any virus from intruding and it seems to work
without a hassle.

ok - info -

internet security is anti-virus & firewall. but its so badly
written (i.e. wiindows type updates that don't really work)
- AVOID

please look further. mcaffee etc or ANY other brand.
