This album is very interesting. It sounds very unique and
is quite a departure for 'Da Massive.

It is sooo bad compared to the other three albums.

I think this album has nothing interesting in it and
everything is boring. Not a good song. Pure crap. IMHO.

Lol, I mean its more cinematic. More intense.
I will admit that it doesn't warrant putting it on loop, but
I listen to it a few times a month for my fix. I get a nice
and strange burst of refreshment when I hear it. It's like
doublemint gum

I used to listen to 100th window on the Tokyo subway alot.
Usually at night as I came back to my place all drunk on
saké on shochu

that's great...at least you're getting something out of it.

earthleakage, did i mention i bought "devil's advocate"? it
was a mistake i think, sine i downloaded the whole thing
when you recomended it, and i didn't like it all that much.

I bought 100th window a few days ago....I like it.

Listening to "What your soul sings" in the shower, with
candles and clove cigarettes is the highlight of last week.
Antistar is also good.

Also, I thinks its damned cool that Sinead O'Connor is
singing for them.

W00T for bald chicks.

Shochu tastes kinda nasty to me. My Dad makes me drink it at
Family reunions.

with all of the board - no. : )

but i'm with you tolstoyed, i love it.
one of my most-listened and favourite albums, like all of
Massive Attack's - i think it's like a "sister" album to
Mezzanine... 100th Window gives me the picture of a white
butterfly (and Mezzanine a black one), or for times of the
day, 100th Window would be dawn and Mezzanine dusk...
different yet similar...

i try to boycott all copy-protected albums now, but if i
ever give up or break this boycott by buying one
copy-protected album by mistake, i'll surely buy 100th
Window right after. i've been listening to it regulary for
months (i think at least once in a week) and still haven't
grown bored of it.

also all four Massive albums have great openers, but 100th
Window also has a great closing track... (the closing tracks
of the previous albums weren't bad at all, but they weren't
as good as the openers)

ohh, how wonderful!
that is very nice comparison of mezzanine and 100th
window...the black and white butterfly!
and yes, antistar is excellent!! (or are you thinking that
loong loop that comes after antistar?)

better than mezzanine.. i think

Damn it sucks !!!!! How can you like it ! I understand that
you like the mood of this album but if it's the case,
"Ultra" of Depeche Mode has the same mood and is 1000x
better.

Anybody but me like Goldfrapp?

Somebody working in Nintendo's advertising sure does.

Goldfrapp is all I've heard in their recent commercials.

i could live without it.

The long loop after Antistar is pointless pointless
pointless.
In fact i love both Blue Lines and Protection, Mezzanine
appealed me a moment ago... but since the day i bought 100th
window (the day of it's release), i am so desappointed by
Massive Attack.
The only track that i enjoy a little is the first one ; but
"What your soul sing" and the two with Horace Andy are SOOO
BORING !!!!!!

blue lines is great, protection is fantastic, vs. mad
professor is GREAT, mezzanine is the best, 100th window is
just sucky. i was counting the days until it came out but
and was so, so disappointed.

it's the bristol thing -- tricky became shit, goldie became
shit, ma became shit, portishead is (supposedly) recording
and i bet you it'll be shit.

I've heard some of Portisheads unreleased stuff, and its
suprisingly impressive. I've put my faith back in Portishead
since "All my sins" became my drawing song.

...........................speaking of massive attack vs mad
professor, anyone heard this? i think people here wld really
like it, because it employs a lot of classic idm manuevers,
but still retains a heavy dub and triphop feel. the title
track 'no protection (Radiation ruling the nation)' is my
favorite. a real gem. i can't decide if i like it or the
original better.

IMO Mezzazine is not the best : Blue Lines and Protection
are far better. I like it though.

i didn't know there was a long loop after Antistar, as i
said i haven't bought the album yet because it was
copy-protected (i wanted to buy it though -_-)... i have it
on mp3 and Antistar ending the album abruptly at 8:17, i
presume the loop is a hidden track?

PhystPhukt > yes i like Goldfrapp, don't have any album yet
but they're on my "potential purchase list"... =)

"Hear the pots and pans that fall. Baaang against the wall.

track with Massive
