painting

in a forum on "geeky" music, it would be
interesting to find out how members feel
about clothes. what does everybody think

the decomposition of formal language to the
point of comprehension COULD be the next
realistic terrorist goal. tee-hee glad to see
we're on it.

Yes multinational corporations are bound to realise that
letting people slave in comfy clothes and keeping them
comfortable is good business.

I don't mind. art is in the eye of the
bee-holder. I kinda like it.

i don't have much clothes... for summer i have a pair of
black pants (and a pair of grey ones but i don't wear them
that often, black suits almost everything and grey is more
difficult to fit), plain coloured t-shirts (black, purple,
grey, white, sand) for summer i think that's all...

+ a pendent, and a collection of watches

a lot of people wear t-shirts with the brand logo as an only
decoration, it's a bit like not only you pay for the
t-shirt, but you also make advertising for this brand...?

some band t-shirts look nice... - but i'm not sure i want
to show my musical tastes to everyone i know and everyone in
the street, just because my tastes may change and i would
still be remembered by some as "this guy with a [insert name
of the band here] t-shirt -> this guy is a fan of [insert
name of the band here]"...

fact: most of my posts are made from work where I'm wearing
a smart suit and tie ensemble.

Right now I'm wearing a jumper that's too big for me
(strange considering I'm 6 foot 4) and pants and no shoes

It's genuinely shocking how differently people treat you
based on how you're dressed. I'm not talking about wearing
ball dress compared to rags either... The way people in
shops etc. interact with you when you wear is very different
to when you're even dressed "smart casually".

that's right uzim,
and I also think you're right Ceri

what we have here, and the reason
why I asked in this forum,
is a case of people trying to find
uncool elements in you, so that
they can either become your socially
rebellious friend, or discriminate
against you.

and it's weird to think that even
tattered-style fashion has it's do's and
don'ts

I don't understand any of it.. why
not dress as is most flattering for
your body? Looking smart for the
other sex (or otherwise, if u're gay)
isn't something they are forcing on
you.. so why should they be able
to commit fashion against you?

now on what's printed on the garment..
I know I would you wear
a william blake painting if it was
on a piece of clothing I liked,
but painting is a dead art and nobody
will probably care to label you.
Whereas music is a socially active
trait; and at that, most people are
ready to offend your choice if it's
not theirs.

just my two cents
