some tracks of mine

hi,
I've just uploaded 3 tracks to my zebox site:
1. the hundred greatest [1min30sec]
2. too old [5min0sec]
3. you like to talk [5min9sec]
[should all work on a right-click/save target as]

All pretty much different to my old electronica stuff, which
people may have heard. Nothing groundbreaking, i expect, but
I like them.

Feedback would be nice, but not expected :)
Thanks

I like that first one, reminded me a bit of Mercury Rev.

The second one so far is cool, I gotta be honest though I
dont really like the effect on your voice. THe music is
real nice though, real REAL nice.

I don't like that effect either, but apart from that, these
songs are extremely good.

that effect kinda reminds me of a Kid A song, but thats okay
cuz everything else doesn't sound like Radiohead at all.

thanks :)

on the second I was heavily influenced by "Caravan" by Blur,
I only found that out after I recorded it, mind.

stuff very much.... just a pity hundred greatest is so short
:(

thanks :D

I'm sure if it was longer, I (and maybe you) wouldn't like
it so much. Like when you eat too much pizza, it just tastes
horrid by the end.

I really like these. I think too old would be better
without the distorted vocal.

I have always loved your work though :P

hmm, lots of people have said that... I'll try a version
without the dist.vocals then.

Thanks for listening, and thanks for the feedback :)

It is good for relaxing....

I'd try to take the piss further if it wasn't for the fact
that you are only a few years older than I am. I only have
just over three years left till I hit fucking 30 :(

haha shit, I am depressed now.

Excellent tracks anyway Jack. I would be interested in
hearing the clean vocal version of the second track when you
sort it.

haha, sort it meaning remove the distortion of the
vocals...it is just the way I speak, I was not inferring
that there was anything wrong as such.

Really nice songs :) Some of us may have all the glitchy
tracks enough! Maybe you should little eq them - cut the
lower middle to remove resonances and rise up freqs around
5-6kHz, it may help these tracks to sound 'brighter'.

it's just me, only guitars (including bass) and vocals are
live. Everything else is sequenced.

Cheers Sempoo, I might try that...
