New track... Yeah remix

Alright, first thing first. I'm adding a second moniker to
cover dance music, those tracks will be under the name "Xi"

Second, if anyone wants to participate in a remix contest
for this track that WILL be put on white label vinyl, please
go here

Thirdly, the track can be found here

Many of you won't like it because it tends really heavily
towards a more "commercial" sound. Suck it.

As I've mentioned before, I really want to work towards
combining IDM with stuff that will get a lot of people
dancing. I haven't found a whole lot of that, so this is my
first experiment in that direction that came out good enough
to go on vinyl. I'll probably make more stuff that will add
more IDM elements, more change ups and drum nuances and what
not... so stay tuned... I am going to be a fucking force to
be reckoned with.

As always, a link to my homepage

k, i downloaded yeahremastered, is that the right one?

I don't really like that song in the first place, and you
didn't do enough in the remix for me to like it now. I
think your song is better than the actual song, but I still
don't really like it, since its based on the original song.

I hear that song over, over, over ove veoveofo over and over
in clubs and bars, its ridiculous!

I do want to hear your idm stuff though.

Yep, it bothers me too... like I said, really commercially
viable. It's a club piece, it will get people going and has
a heavy IDM flavor to it. I've been finding out how
difficult it is to make a piece that's still interesting but
will get people dancing and I want to do both.

An IDM EP will be released soon with Polychromatic, you guys
will like that way way way more, promise.

Oh, and the site is down sadly... I'll bump tomorrow when I
get done with my midterms

Note:

The remix on www.jkristos.com is NOT MY REMIX

Mine is on my site, it will be back up tomorrow hopefully...
his is much more traditional house which he made with
another DJ from around here. My stuff isn't like that, you
guys should know better

yeah your version is a little more interesting, but again
really similar. Good job though, its not easy to remix
something, keep the same feel, and still make it
interesting. I like the bass drum beat going on, thats real
nice.

Rockin... was hoping people would like the little drum break
near the end, going to use that sort of style more in my
future pieces. Industrial and glitchy beats with a bit of
funk thrown in

Will do reviews for people over the next couple of days now
that I'm taking a break, lemme know if I missed your track,
link it or whatever

Cheers!

It's good, it just isn't very, umm, dancey. It's still very
much an IDM track. I enjoyed it though.

Alright, not gonna post things I put out under the Xi
moniker... although I might change that name before July,
probably not good if people can't pronounce it

I'll still post IDM stuff up here, but anything I drop at
clubs will wait for my demo CDs

I thought by you saying it was more commercial and dance
that it would be like a club dance track. I've never been
to a commercial dance club that plays this sort of music. I
wasn't saying the track was bad because I actually really
like it.

Maybe it is just my understanding of commercial dance that
is letting me down.

Why wouldn't people be able to pronouce the greek letter
xi?

hehe, I actually toyed with using the same name a while ago
but decided against it. :)

Nah, I agree... this is definitly not going to find its way
into a regular club. I sent it to a friend in New Mexico who
said if gay people heard this track at the club he was at
they'd hunt me down and kill me for ruining the song

Regardless, I have new plans... still means you'll get new
music from me, but a little different... all is well, all is
well
