this guy, in my opinion, is a fucking genius. I can't stop
listening to humpelndenBEATS and his reworkings of SAW2.

Somehow he doesn't seem to revert to the old idm/drill
cliches and each song is packed full of interesting and ill
ideas, both rhythmically and melodically.

This stuff is what Ultravisitor wasn't for me. A clever
breath of fresh air in an otherwise stuffy (boring, samey,
monotonous) cliche. I've beeen getting disillusioned with
electronica and favouring listening to classical and jazz
lately but this guy's stuff is just... I can't stop
listening to it.

Anyone know has he any other stuff released? I've emailed
him but I'm not sure whether i'll get a reply and whether I
can even wait for one!

hooray for wisp :D

"A clever breath of fresh air in an otherwise stuffy (...)

I agree, the guy is so excellent, no matter how many people
try and pass him off as an imitator, this guy is a creator.

Is he 100% net-based? No record deal?

I like the immediate availability of his music on mp3 but
the guy deserves to make it big time..

I wouldnt really call it IDM as such, its more old school
synthy hip hop/drum and bass. Occasionally he gets those
drums doing the crazy sync IDM thing, he seems way to
chilled out. Its great however!

wisp - i'm not sure you interpretted what i wrote correctly.
What I meant was that the last track didn't live up to my
incredibly high expectations (incredibly high due to the
outstanding excellance of the rest of the album and the
length of time I spent waiting to hear this fabled last
track while the madhc.com server was down).

An outstanding album, the ending a little disappointing,
that's all. Still listening to it non-stop though :D

I was slightly disappointed by your other stuff, it wasn't
in the same vein as humpelndenBEATS as i'd expected, but
it's still very very interesting (just suits different moods
to those humpelndenBEATS suits). I'm glad to see
humpelndenBEATS was made in 2004 though, as was
SAW2:Reworked; as they're my absolute favourites i'm looking
forward to what you have to release in the near future.

Is there anywhere on the net I can sign up for a newsletter
to inform me of your upcoming releases and so on?

kablammo!

but seriously....flashbulb is pretty good in my opinion, you
two are not wholly dissimilar (which is an obtuse way of
saying that you are similar) but you definitely have
different styles

he rips off squarepusher and you rip off mu-ziq ; )

why is it nessecary for you to be such a tool? If you dont
fucking like it..then dont listen. Its as simple as that.

chaosmachine - eh.. i dont know. Hes a great producer..but i
think that hes way to into himself. Just like me..hes not
doing much anything new.. every time i read an article or
interview with him,he seems to think he is.

redrum - once i get my offical website up (being made by
spasm) im going to start a mailing list. I will keep you
informed (i still have your email addy).

thx again :-)

i would say you go 50/50 on me reid, but the 50 i get is so
damn positive and fucking good....I have most ov your
tracks...even some old ones under dislexiq digit....i would
say about half of the songs in an album or ep get some sort
of reaction out of me, but those 5 or 6 songs are so fucking
good..

Slopes
He Was a Happy Man
Letter
Turquoise Tinged Pennys
Elf Magic

list goes on and on

hey wisp, do you think i could get a hi quality version of
that afx dub remix you posted long ago? I really really
really love that song.
