Yes, healthy perhaps in the sense that you're disease free or have low blood pressure etc. what do you reckon the chances of you being able to remain vegan in a survival situation are though (not criticisng your choice to be a vegan- in modern society it is a viable option).

yeah, i cant really see myself being in that situation. but yeah, i guess i feel up to it. a month ago i went on a 4 day hike through a fairly mountainess area of new zealand without too much trouble. well, if i had chosen to give up smoking i would have delt with it better.
to be honest, its hard to say if i feel more healthy, but i feel as healthy as i remember ever being.
im 5'11 tall 86kg and fighting fit! hehe...

So how did your vegan adventure go tragedy? I just went vegan one hour ago when I bought my groceries. I'm going to try it out for two weeks or so and see how I feel after.

it's going great! the only thing i really miss is cheese pizza, but i just get cheeseless pizza with broccoli, green peppers and mushrooms.
i've been eating a lot of stir fry stuff, and i've lost 8 lbs in the last 3 and a 1/2 weeks.
thanks for asking and goodluck.

I don't think I could ever go total vegan but I like eating vegetables and healthy diet does obviously make a difference over the long term. I think it's fine to have junk food once in awhile but don't clog your body up with sugar and transfat. :)

I could never give up meat
I'm a total carnivor
I mean, HOW can you smell bacon cooking and not crave it? HOW?
I did try the atkins diet cause I thought it would be perfect for me, but after about 2 days I just felt sick and greasy like shit really
I think the only way to loose weight properly and stay healthy is to have a totally balanced diet and count your calories

I'm with you there, pOgO -- extremist diets don't work on the long term for most people, they're more likely to drive someone crazy into binging on sweets and meats and all that when they can't take it anymore. You really have to live an all-round healthy lifestyle, which not only means eating healthy, but keeping fit and exercise and all that.
Mmmm bacon *Homer Simpson drool*
