beheading video :(

I searched around for the video but I couldn't find it. I
question it's authenticity, the photos are too grainy to
reference the kneeling victim's facial features against the
clearer "gym" photo of the victim. Remember, they lied
about the weapons. In an attempt to deflect attention on
the treatment of Iraqi prisoners in American hands, a quick
and easy solution is a staged killing.

That's rubbish... its the fact that he was BEHEADED on
VIDEO. Its not exactly on the same scale. And Jesus you
don't think Iraqi persecution gets world-wide media
coverage? Look at the papers you goon the photos have been
on the front pages for ages.

billcosbydance,

Uhh, no one is compairing this death to the multiple other
killings.

There aren't tapes of brutal murders of children.

Sheesh, what the fuck man. Stop making accusations and
stirring up NONSENSE.

bryce,

I seriously doubt that this is fake.
And I don't think a video like this is no conspiracy.

I could be wrong, but just no need for it..... sigh :(

It is available at ogrish.com... be careful tho man, its not
something you can forget easily. I wouldn't recommend you
watch it to be honest.

He was an American captured in Iraq, killed in response to
the torture pictures.

I gave in and listened to the audio... for about 10 seconds.
Can't watch it. More power to those who can, though.

Having something filmed doesn't make it any worse, really.
Lots of people are beheaded, all the time - it's a common
form of killing a person.

I reckon it makes it worse - the fact that they recorded it
for his friends and family to see makes it seem so much more
cold-hearted to me. But yeah of course the actual act is
still just as bad.

I can't make a "wmv" work, predictably. I guess I won't take
the necessary year and a half to troubleshoot it.

Meh... to be fair the police don't kill innocent people for
no reason, they only kill when it is neccessary and mostly
don't shoot to kill. its hardly comparible. Well okay I'm
sure some arnarchic-type will dispute that...

i wouldn't watch it.
the fact that it is real and that it was cold blooded sends
shivers down my spine. i've seen footage of gunships taking
out troops with 20mm which wasn't nice but it was in the
heat of battle.

there was another video going round at my work recently of a
cold blooded beheading of someone in chechnya. everyone was
watching it with morbid curiosity, some were laughing. i had
to concentrate not to see it it was on so many peoples
screens. i could do without these images in my head, they
would haunt me forever

But as "Police Camera Action" and "Worlds Wildest Police
Chases" show, the criminal is always guilty and they crash
with hilarious consequences or at least get a volley of
rubber bullets to the face! John Bunnel = The Man :D

paul, you make it sound like every day on the 5 o'clock news
we gather round to watch the day's taped killings.

what exactly are you talking about?

"to be fair the police don't kill innocent people for no

oh my, I would watch it with taking that as taken!

police force really.

i remember watching the news a few years ago, they were
showing this guy who was shooting at people on the freeway.
live tv. then he set his truck on fire, got naked, went over
to the side of the freeway, and blew his brains out the back
of his head with a rifle. live.

Happens all the time though. Just a couple months here, a
guy reached down to unbuckle his seatbelt and was shot to
death by the police. Of course it turned into a racial
issue, white cops, black guy.

"HERE IS THE ENEMY"
by the Sandwichman

This has come up in the comments section of MaxSpeak that is
also mentioned in comments on Atrios and Whiskey Bar. As the
implications are potentially extremely serious, I think it
merits greater exposure even though the connections are, as
far as I know, only circumstantial.

On March 7, 2004 an "enemies list" composed of signatories
to an anti-war petition was posted on the Free Republic
website. The introductory and subsequent comments on that
list suggest that the purpose of the posting was to
encourage people to harrass the individuals on the list and
to circulate their names to agencies and individuals that
might take action against them.

Nick Berg's father, Michael Berg was on that list and he
named Prometheus Methods Tower Service, Inc. as an
affiliation. According to his family on March 24, 2004 --
approximately two weeks after publication of the enemies
list on the Free Republic website -- Nick Berg was detained
by Iraqi police who handed him over to US forces, he was
then held until April 6 when he was released, the day after
his family had filed a lawsuit in Philadelphia federal
court. Nick Berg was not heard from again after April 9.
