Interesting...

i'm growing really fond of this. massive and also tiny
generators full of charged electricity making that ever
familiar and wonderful buzz sound...
its minimal, it grooves and i love it.

cd3 and 4 are ambient and mostly void of beats .
lovely packaging.

4 is amazing... i still haven't heard 3 or 1, and 2 is
decent... really haven't given it a full-through yet...

i haven't heard much by Pan Sonic yet, a few mp3s but i'm
probably going to buy this, it's in my list... seems very
tempting : )

(i wanted to pick it up at the record store the other day
but the "box" had a cut on the top side, like someone sliced
it with a cutter?!...)

it's a pretty good period for music lately... new Pan Sonic,
new PJ Harvey, new Sonic Youth, new Steve Roden etc...

(this said, pasta can be delicious. but i'm off the point
here.)

Still absorbing, it's an awful lot of music, but I
definitely like what I've managed to hear out over the past
week. Their more subtle, ambient soundscapes, especially
"Radiation" are amazing.

If your looking to start in on this group, this would be a
great compilation of what they can do with sound.

Support Pan Sonic or hate Finland...it's your choice.

i have not heard any pan sonic (except for maybe one or two
tracks), but they are one of many i have been thinking
"maybe i should buy a release from this artist." this
release is probably quite expensive, being a four-cd set.
what is the best pan sonic to start with?

Just got this and am listening to disk 1. It's fucking
hardcore. Most so-called heavy music is a joke in
comparison. And it's not fucking noise music either - it's
catchy as fuck. Reminds me slightly of some of the stuff Add
N to X did before they decided to suck.

I love the box and photographic inner sleeves - total class.

It must be reasonably available - it's on Mute, which has
very good distribution.

How comes disk 3 doesn't have a jpg of the pickle jar? All
the other disks have jpgs of the cover art.

It's like they decided, oh, we can't afford to license the
jpeg-redistribution rights for a pickle jar.

i listened to a couple songs off this and well i just didn't
see it. i was considering buying the cd so i could give it a
nice thorough listen, but at 30 bucks that's rather steep.

perhaps i'll try out some other pan sonic.

Yeah, but it's 4 CDs at $7.50 a pop. That's a bargain
compared to other sets...

Oh, fuck off money.
